HITMAN World of Assassination Showcases PS VR2 Gameplay

A brand-new trailer has released to showcase the upcoming release of HITMAN World of Assassination for PS VR2. Originally set for release in December 2024, the new release date of 27th March 2025 is right around the corner. Featuring a slew of VR enhancements, this is shaping up to be the most immersive HITMAN experience ever!

Become Agent 47 as You Sneak Around the World… in PS VR2!

IO Interactive, developer of the legendary HITMAN franchise, have unveiled a new trailer for HITMAN World of Assassination on PS VR2 during the recent VR Games Showcase. The short but sweet trailer gives players a look at the immersive action through the eyes of the world’s greatest assassin, where you can expect to see lots of guns, explosions, and, of course, banana peels!

Bundling together each of the 22 locations from HITMAN 1, HITMAN 2, and HITMAN 3 players will get the chance to experience these locales like never before thanks to PlayStation VR2’s 4K HDR display. Whether you’re poisoning guards, picking locks, or taking out your targets with your bare hands, gamers will be able to unleash their creativity up close and personal in the World of Assassination.

Players will live out Agent 47’s deadly world tour by performing key movements with full ambidexterity (such as holstering and reloading weapons, aiming down sights, and donning new disguises) all whilst dual-wielding an arsenal of over 100 unique weapons. Plus, with the power of the PS VR2, technical capabilities such as the adaptive triggers, room-scale implementation, and spatial touch interactions are all round out this impressive package that could well be the most immersive PS VR2 game to date.

HITMAN World of Assassination will be available on PlayStation VR2 from 27th March 2025. For anyone who already owns the PlayStation 5 version, an upgrade pack will be available, the HITMAN World of Assassination – VR Access for just £8.99. Newcomers will be able to jump straight into playing in VR via the HITMAN WOA Part One – VR2 Edition for £32.99, granting them access to HITMAN Part One and the PS VR2 content.
