Chairs, whether it is gaming or office, we spend almost 50 days a year sitting in a chair. Well, if you have a typical office job that is. So of course you want to make sure that where you’re sitting is both relaxing and comfortable. This is where the ThunderX3 Flex Pro Mesh chair comes in. Retailing at a pretty lofty £419.99 MSRP, it is by no means cheap. But can you put a price on comfort? Let’s find out.
Let the buttocks, see the chair
I know what you’re saying, that all chairs are the same. This is where you’re wrong. They really aren’t, each chair has its own merits. Chairs are as individual as people, and we all have different preferences. This is why this review is just going to give you an overview of the features. Featuring maybe a couple of witty comments here and there. It’s going to be a wild ride. Or as wild as one can get when sitting down.
So sit down, lean back, relax with some lumbar support and let’s roll out.
Design
First things first, the ThunderX3 Flex Pro looks incredible. I love the mesh design throughout. Featuring a headrest, lumbar support as well as a nice large seat for you to rest your weary behind.

The chair is built with SYNC6, which sounds like the latest in internal language, but basically relates to the chair adjustability. Being able to adjust the chain in more ways than a lot of other chairs, simply means more ways to be comfortable.
Back to the mesh, it’s beautiful. It also helps keep you cool for longer. Allowing air to circulate around you. Ensuring you can sit for longer. Which I know is not what the medical professions would suggest you do. But with Atomfall right around the corner you’d forgive me if I smash some long nights gaming.
The rest of the ThunderX3 Flex Pro is sturdy and made with strong materials. With a Claff 4 gas lift, supporting up to 150kg it will hold you comfortably and securely. Whilst using the chair for the past couple of weeks I’ve not felt any of the typical rock that I’ve had with other chairs. At it’s core this chair is comfortable!
Features
Now here we get to dive into some more of those fancy buzzwords. Starting with SYNC6, which essentially means that the chair has 6 ways you can adjust it. Allowing you to customise it to fit your own body shape, size and posture. I’ve honestly felt like I sit better in this chair than I have any other. Mostly due to the way it curves around my body. Don’t get me wrong, it took me a little while to get it just right. But with the 2 tilt options, multi-angle lock, 4-level adjustable backrest and multiple ways of adjusting the seat, it really is the ultimate adjustable chair.
I think my favourite feature of the adjustability of the chair is the synchronous tilt. Basically, the seat and backrest all move together when you lean back ensuring comfort and support.

Ok, next we’re going to talk about the 19D of the ThunderX3 Flex Pro. This just means that there are 19 dimensions of adjustability. This chair might take the award for the most flexible and ergonomic chair on the market. My back would definitely vote for it. Even the armrests are impressive. With 5D 360-degree armrests, you can find the position that is perfect for you. You can even turn them right around to get them out of the way to get closer to the action. Or flip them up to give you a perfect position for mobile or console gaming.
Comfort
There are so many features in the ThunderX3 Flex Pro that all point towards comfort. The adjustable seat depth, allows you to alleviate pressure on your back. To the forward tilting seat, giving you better posture and promoting improved circulation.

With plenty of handles, and levers all easily accessible, the chair is easy to get into position. Even the backrest is adjustable, all you do is pull upwards on the Y Frame backrest. Simple.
Final Thoughts
I’ve had plenty of different gaming chairs, and honestly, this one is the best. It may not be to everyone’s tastes, but something about the adjustments possible and the mesh just appeals to me. Thankfully this chair not only looks good, but is incredibly comfortable. I’ll be interested to see how it performs during the hot summer months, the real test for the air flow mesh material!
Overall this is a great chair, with plenty of features that help aid productivity and comfort.
