Get ready to grab your gear and return to Muckingham when PowerWash Simulator 2 releases later this year. FuturLab are brining us a sequel to their much loved grime busting simulation game, which now boasts over 17 million players worldwide.

Soap, Lather, Rinse, Repeat

PowerWash Simulator 2 is set to return with fresh locations, better soap, more features, deeper mysteries and even split-screen co-op. There’s something therapeutic about spraying water on virtual muck-covered buildings or vehicles and watching as everything comes up looking shiny and new that real-life cleaning just can’t match.

The first game had surprisingly deep lore involving aliens, time travel, an impending volcanic explosion, and missing cats. From the sneak-peek trailer below, I’m already intrigued to find out how these mischievous looking garden gnomes might be involved in the storyline of the sequel.

An interesting feature coming to the sequel is the ability to collect trinkets and furniture to decorate your own home-base. I just hope they don’t expect me to keep that clean and tidy too! Once you’ve got it looking just right, you can invite your friends over in multiplayer mode to check it out.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor. The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features, and quality of life improvements. We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure.” Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally announce the sequel to one of our most successful titles. With over 17 million players worldwide, PowerWash Simulator has allowed us to self-publish a sequel, an exciting challenge we are delighted to undertake. We look forward to bringing players the next step-up in the PowerWash Simulator series.” Chris Mehers, COO of FuturLab

FuturLab have promised us further information in April, so we’ll have our sights set on that. As for release details, there’s nothing concrete yet. However, we do know PowerWash Simulator 2 is coming later this year to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
