If you are into Sim racing, then you no doubt have a decent wheel. What you might not have is a digital dashboard. MOZA Racing recently sent us their latest model to hit the online store. The MOZA Racing CM2 Dash. Well the CM2 HD Racing Dash to give it it’s full moniker.
Give Me All The Stats
Costing around £155 is this bit of tech really going to make a difference to your sim racing gameplay? Read on to find out.
Design
Taking the MOZA Racing CM2 Dash out of the box, I was instantly impressed with the build quality. It felt sturdy to hold and look at. With a high-resolution, 5-inch 720p touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Ensuring that all the data you get to see is clear and precise. You can also swap between dash layouts by just swiping the screen.
With an aluminium alloy casing, designed for strength. It comes with a high-strength steel mount for attaching to your wheel rig. The rear bracket is also height adjustable to make sure that you see the dash from wherever your seating position may be. Just unscrew the thumb screws and then you can move the screen up or down.
It has a sleek design, giving a minimalist aesthetic. Attached to my MOZA Racing R3 Wheelbase, it looks awesome.

Features
As with the majority of hardware, the features are where people’s hearts really beat faster. The MOZA Racing CM2 Dash has some neat features under the beautiful 5-inch hood. Starting with the MOZA Pit House software. This is where you will go to customise your dash layout. Featuring community creations as well as a number of preinstalled layouts. There is something for everyone. Whether it’s just a simple gear number or a full-on timing layout. There are almost endless possibilities.
Around the exterior of the screen is a hidden bezel. Inside this bezel are 10 RGB shift lights. Each is almost as bright as the sun (not really) and with a multitude of colour options. The 6 RGB flag lights on the side give you real-time signals. For example blue flags if you are getting overtaken or yellow flags to warn you of incidents on track. Even red for if there is a serious issue on track.

One of the best features of the CM2 Dash is the open ecosystem that MOZA Racing uses. Effectively being compatible with all wheelbases just by using the RJ11 port. Compatibility doesn’t stop there as this can be used with wheels outside of the ecosystem too. Just use the USB cable to plug it directly into your PC. Opening up an abundance of wheel possibilities.
Compatibility
The MOZA Racing CM2 Dash can be used in whole host of games. Using the MOZA Pit House software you can hit the track in Assetto Corsa, F1, Project Cars 2 and many more racing games.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for something to enhance your sim racing experience, then the MOZA Racing CM2 Dash could be just what you are looking for. With a build quality that matches the other MOZA Racing products and an easy plug-and-play setup to match, attaching this made the wheel feel more realistic. It definitely increased the immersion of my gameplay too. Just make sure you take the time to get your layout perfectly how you want it. Yes, the pre-built ones are good, but there’s nothing like creating your own masterpiece.
The MOZA Racing CM2 HD Racing Dash receives the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
