The Innsmouth Case Review

The Innsmouth Case is a text-based, choose-your-own-adventure game based on The Shadow over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft. The genre of Interactive Fiction is one of the oldest in video games, stretching back to the 1970s with Adventure. Technological advances mean these types of games are no longer restricted to a text-only experience and are often supplemented with images, animations and music. Observer: System Redux Review

Way back in 2017, hot off the heels of Layers of Fear, developers Bloober Team continued the psychological horror trend with Observer. It would seem they have found their niche because Layers of Fear 2, Blair Witch, and The Medium followed. Observer: System Redux is the base game but with additional story content and improved graphics. The game itself is evidently influenced by things such as the George Orwell book Nineteen Eight-Four, the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop role-playing game, and the movie Blade Runner. Foreclosed PS5 Review

Foreclosed is a cyberpunk action shooter with RPG elements experienced in graphic novel panels and stylised graphics. The title refers to when people are property and upon a company going under, their identity is being auctioned off. We begin with the protagonist, Evan Kapnos, being foreclosed and suddenly forced on the run. Kapnos is smack dab in the middle of a conspiracy and the only way to survive is with some help from allies is get to the person at the top and make them a counteroffer. Foreclosed is brought to us by Italian indie developers Antab Studio (Gridd series) and publishers Merge Games (Ultimate Chicken Horse). The Falconeer: Warrior Edition is an enhanced version of the base game with some DLC included for good measure. The base game was first released in November 2020 on Windows & Xbox series S/X. This version brings the game to PS4, PS5 & Nintendo Switch and is available now. With his debut, Falconeer comes from developer Tomas Sala and indie game publisher Wired Productions. Sala developed the game solo and Wired is known for games such as Deliver Us The Moon. Taking place in Ursee, a world mostly water, various factions, and houses emerged, and all seek to gain power. There is a change in the air in the world of Formula One. Last season was a bit of a strange one. At one point we didn't know if it was going to go ahead at all. But thankfully it did and Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes were dominant once again.
