Earlier this year LEGO released five Animal Crossing themed sets. I was severely underwhelmed when these were first revealed in a Press Release in October 2023. They didn’t capture everything I loved about Animal Crossing and LEGO. Or so I thought. Then these sets hit the shelves. I saw pictures from friends. I watched TikToks showing off people’s builds. Pretty quickly I realised I was wrong. These sets may have been sold separately but they were meant to be pieced together. To be customised. To be built and shaped into your very own island. Just like Tom Nook intended. I bought every single set. I carved out space amongst the LEGO collection and dedicated a whole shelf to my real life island.
Fast forward to present day and LEGO have released two more Animal Crossing sets. And this time I’m all in. Let’s take a look at these freshly released sets.
Fly with Dodo Airlines (Set 77051)
Just like in-game this set has the recognizable Dodo Airlines airport and control tower sat on a beachside jetty. Turn the airport around to see the check-in desk and waiting area complete with plant. Wilbur’s trusty seaplane is ready for take-off just behind the orange departure gates and along the jetty. Change up your airport flag with the extra tile bricks included. This LEGO Fly with Dodo Airlines set comes with two Animal Crossing minifigures: Wilbur the pilot and resident Tangy. There’s a little crab to place on the beach too!

K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza (Set 77052)
All our hard work paid off! We got that 3 star island rating and K.K. Slider is coming to visit! With the LEGO K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza set you can build your own Animal Crossing Town Hall. Complete with the island Resident Services, community notice board and island flag. Set up your plaza café and K.K.’s campervan all ready for the big concert! This set is the epitome of what the LEGO Animal Crossing sets set out to do. Customisation. There are lots of accessories, spare tiles to fully customise the town flag as well as modular baseplates to ensure the town plaza is exactly how you want it. No building fees here! On top of this there are three Animal Crossing minifigures: Audie, Isabelle (with a different outfit than seen in the Isabelle’s House Visit set) and of course K.K. Slider.

All in all the Fly with Dodo Airlines and K.K.’s Concert at the Plaza sets are a fun addition to the LEGO Animal Crossing range. My only gripe would be the price. These sets are quite pricey when considering the number of pieces per set. Especially when compared to other licensed sets. With that being said these LEGO sets do look great and really help world build, both as playsets as well as collection pieces.
So if you do want to grab these LEGO Animal Crossing sets, you don’t need to head to Nook’s Cranny to pick them up! They’re live on the LEGO website right now. Which means I need to dig up some bells and find some shells to sell!
