Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered – PS5 Review

The only thing I wanted after reviewing the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Trilogy was a remaster of 4-6. Apsyr apparently heard my prayers and have finally remastered the finale of the original Lara plot as well as Angel of Darkness.  Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered brings back The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider 5 and Angel of Darkness to modern consoles. Controversially, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness is one of my favourite games and Tomb Raider IV was the first game I ever finished on my own so there was a lot of nostalgia wrapped up in these games. When the games were announced I pre-ordered immediately but was it worth it? Or did the remaster not hit the mark the same way these games originally did? I don't count poison darts and triggered entombment your average child's tea party You can...

Sancticide – Early Access PC Preview

Sancticide is an early access third-person action game with souls-like combat and roguelite systems. Red Square Games (SlavicPunk: Oldtimer) and Sylen Studio (The Sin Collector: Repentless) are both developing and publishing the game. Explore the dark world of an apocalypse of biblical proportions today only on Steam. The Apocalypse is a Dark, Brutal Place... Reading up on a game description can really only gets you so far. I really am not sure what I was expecting going into Sancticide. What I found was definitely not it. Have you ever run into this before? Where the content within the game isn't what you were expecting? I mean I had an idea but check out my thoughts in the preview below. Gameplay Sancticide is a third-person action game based in the midst of the biblical apocalyp...

Coridden – PC Review

Coridden is a new action RPG co-op game from Aftnareld, a small Swedish developer and published by Anshar Publishing (Gamedec, Weakless). Go on a shapeshifting adventure with up to three of your friends and become the very same creatures that you face in the wild. It is available now on PC via Steam or GOG for £16.75. Who Needs a Mount when you ARE the Mount? I am admittedly somewhat of a Diablo junkie. It's hard to find something that scratches that same itch. Path of Exile, though enjoyable, is just too deep for me to really get into. Coridden looks to try and scratch that itch with a unique framework and focus on co-op play. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to play with anyone yet, but I'm hoping to have others join me soon! Gameplay Coridden is an isometric action roleplayi...

Sworn – PC Preview

The reason I initially decided to pick up Sworn by Windwalk was the similarities to Hades. As a top down rogue-like with co-op capabilities and an Arthurian twist, it was right up my street. A part of me was worried that I would be too busy comparing Sworn to Hades to really enjoy it. However, it would honestly be a disservice to this game. If you're looking to expand your PC library, you can grab Sworn on Steam for £24.99 You've Sworn an oath to keep dying Gameplay Sworn plays like a standard rouge-like game with various encounters and battles as you make your way through different areas. It's best to play with a controller, as recommended when you load up, and plays really well on the Deck. As you make your way through Arthurian inspired areas, you will meet mythical beasts and d...

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – PS5 Review

The original Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released back in 2018. With all the time that has passed since then, how has Warhorse Studios expanded on such an iconic game? Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sees us carry on Henry's journey of revenge. But how enjoyable is that journey for the player? Let's take a dive into the 15th Century and find out! Gritty, Gruesome, Glorious With a rich open world, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is one of the most detailed RPG's that I've played. But is it a good follow on from the first, or should it have been left? Gameplay Having sold over 2 million copies in 2 weeks, you may believe that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a perfect game. Well, in my opinion it isn't. Not for me anyway. I've been playing for quite a while and I feel that I've not really scratc...

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter – PS5 Review

Following up on the success of Tails of Iron, Manchester based Odd Bug Studio has developed and released a sequel, Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter.  Published by United Label, it was released on 28th January 2025 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series S&X, and Switch. You can read our review of the first game in the series here. Whiskers of Winter by Stuart R.R. Little The story begins with a little history lesson. In the not too distant past, The North had fought a vicious war against the Darkwings, The War of The Rift. Eventually, the warden of Winter's Edge had done enough to win that war, and peace had followed. A long enough peace for the Rats of The North to forget about the Darkwings. Unbeknownst to them, their enemy had been rebuilding strength, and now once a...

Codex Lost – PlayStation 5 Review

Feathers and magic await in Freemana's new souls-like magic game Codex Lost and is currently £19.99 on the PS Store. I was super excited to get a hold of this game, as I've been waiting for someone to make a magic-focused souls-like game. I also like owls quite a bit which is definitely a selling point for this game. This new semi-open world game introduces you to different types of magic and a story of bosses with too much power. Codex Lost  Float like a butterfly, sting like a bird curator with lightning magic I'm a big souls fan so I knew what I was getting myself into when I downloaded Codex Lost, but how well does it run and is it a true souls-like? Gameplay Codex Lost introduces you to the Curator and the story through an opening cutscene. As the chosen Curator, it is up to y...

Tales of Graces f Remastered – PC Review

Tales of Graces f Remastered is an Action, Adventure RPG developed by Tose Co and published by Bandai Namco. It originally came out in 2009 in Japan under the name Tales of Graces and was only available on the Wii. In 2010 it was then ported to the PS3 in Japan, and renamed Tales of Graces f. It didn't get a localization until two years later which makes since since localization takes a lot of effort and time. Especially with a game as massive of a franchise like the Tales of series. Now with today's advances, we can now play this wonderous game on all platforms under the sun. And what a time to be alive to not have to worry if I have the console to play this game! Today I'm playing the game on PC and you can pick up your copy from Steam, for £35. Tired and injured? Why not take an App...

Dynasty Warriors: Origins – PS5 Review

I don’t know about you guys but I found Dynasty Warriors 9 terrible with the open-world side of things. But KOEI TECMO seems to have changed their approach with the newest entry to the franchise Dynasty Warriors: Origins. I played the initial demo released prior to launch, and I really enjoyed the gameplay, so here’s hoping the full release is the same! The game has two versions available on PS5. One is the base game (costing £64.99) and the other is the digital deluxe. The deluxe nets you the soundtrack, 72-hour early access, letters, and the official art book. However, it will also set you back £79.99. Warning! Gifs used in this article might contain flashing imagery. Someone has to play mediator to the three kingdoms. I’ve played the Dynasty Warrior franchise since the good old o...

Destiny 2: Episode Revenant Act 2 Review

Are you not entertained? Many in the Destiny community have felt the past two months linger. General sentiment for Episode: Revenant so far is low. The tonics system for loot makes Onslaught: Salvation feels lacklustre in the gameplay department. Narrative deployment has also shown cracks. Some players feel the story has few stakes, despite the enticing set-up of the Eliksni's "Kell of Kells" prophecy. With Act 2 now out, does nostalgia turn the page on this Episode for the better? Story Act 2 focuses on Fikrul's incursion of a long abandoned fan-favourite space: The Prison of Elders. First featured in Destiny 1, we first met Fikrul and the Scorn here during the Forsaken expansion six years ago. Now Fikrul is back to search the ancient ruins for something. It's down to us to go th...
