The month of September may be nearly over. But the PlayStation September game releases certainly aren’t! Each week I’ve been picking five of the new releases to highlight and giving you the full release rundown. This week PlayStation decided to keep me guessing with new entries as well as games pushed both forward and back! Never fear though, I’ve struggled through it to bring you the all the games not to be missed. So with that in mind.. let’s get this week’s PlayStation September picks.
Anarkade (PS5) – September 23rd
A Cross-Platform Multiplayer shooter in a vibrant pixel art world. With character customisation and abilities, you choose your fighter and dominate the arena. Fast and Frenzied gameplay will keep you coming back for more.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed (PS5, PS4) – September 24th
Immerse yourself in Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, a vibrant 3D platformer where you guide Mickey through a fantastical world using paint and thinner to shape your adventure. Restore beauty with paint or alter your environment with thinner, encountering iconic characters and exploring classic platforming levels inspired by Disney films and shorts.
ZombFarm (PS5, PS4) – September 25th
What happens when you mix a life sim, that gives you a hard honest day’s work on a farm, with the pending doom of zombies? Zombfarm!!A life sim with an undead twist, presented in top-down pixel art style. Can you turn the farm around into a flourishing success while braving the zombie threat of the dark forest?
The Holy Gosh Darn (PS5) – September 26th
The Holy Gosh Darn is a narrative adventure game with a time-traveling twist. In the game, you play as the angel Cassiel, whose mission is to prevent an army of Phantoms from overrunning Heaven. The task is particularly troublesome because Heaven is where you live. As you discover the existence of the Holy Gosh Darn, a mysterious artifact created by God thousands of years ago, your job is to use your time-traveling watch to hop between the past, present, and future.
Along the way, you meet a cast of ridiculous characters in dynamically changing locations as you attempt to uncover the secret to life, the universe, and everything. This action-packed adventure spans multiple time periods and genres, and promises to answer life’s enduring questions, such as why time travel makes you sick, why only angels are allowed to swear, and why skipping dialogue is acceptable when you have only six hours to save Heaven.
EA Sports FC 25 (PS5, PS4)
Experience enhanced tactical control and realistic team movement with FC IQ. A new AI model driven by real-world data influences player tactics through all-new Player Roles. Manager and Player Career modes offer exciting new features, including Live Start Points, the ability to rewrite past ICON stories, and an authentic Women’s Career experience.
