Ghosthunting: Bringing People Together
Entering early access on consoles is not the only exciting update for Phasmophobia; Kinetic Games is also celebrating a huge milestone. Since entering Steam early access in 2020, the game has sold almost 20 million copies globally, making it one of the most popular titles on the platform.
To celebrate this huge milestone made possible by the amazing Phasmophobia community, there will be a in game Halloween Special event. This will include a community goal-oriented task where players on all platforms can work together to permanently unlock the Blood Moon weather in the game. Additionally, players will be able to earn a new badge and trophy by completing different community goals. You know what they say, the friends who ghost together, stay together. In a van. Safe from the spooky stuff.
“We are so happy to see Phasmophobia enter console early access” Stated Daniel Knight, CEO and Lead Developer at Kinetic Games “the community has been asking for console versions, and has waited a little while for it to happen. The development team at Kinetic Games have worked exceptionally hard to make this request a reality.”
Kinetic Games aren’t forgetting the PC players though. The PC version will also be receiving an update which will improve general performance, fix community reported bugs, as well as implementing a new event board with new challenges and rewards. Phasmophobia is available now on PC via Steam. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PS VR2 and Xbox X/S from October 29th 2024, priced at £16.75.
