The NZXT Lift Elite Wireless is the latest gaming mouse to hit the NZT Lift series. Available in the UK from the NZXT Amazon store this little thing will set you back £75. Which by gaming mice prices is really not a lot at all. So does the price reflect the quality? Let’s find out.

Squeaky clean

The NZXT Lift Elite Wireless comes in black or white. Thanks to the lovely folks over at NZXT I got my hands on the very clean looking white edition for this review. Look at it all shiny in the box.

I love a sleek design!

Design

Typically the design section of  a hardware review can be the hardest to write. Luckily for me whilst this mouse looks clean and simple, it’s got far more to it then that! At just 57g this may be the lightest mouse I’ve ever used. Being lightweight really made a difference to it’s manoeuvrability. I’m someone who suffers with hand cramps and hand fatigue. With mice often being the cause. All throughout my time using the NZXT Lift Elite Wireless I did not get this same issue. Which I was very pleased about!

The mouse itself has a nice shape to it. Too often I see gaming mice with pointy edges to seem cooler, at least that’s what I think the point of them is. This doesn’t need that. The textured body and rubber micro-dot sides not only look good but feel good. The bonus being they make for a non-slip hold to. Which is great for long play sessions! The rubber non slip features don’t stop there. They continue onto the textured rubber scroll wheel. Being a tactile person I really liked the different textures. As someone who regularly mis clicks too the oversized thumb buttons were a godsend at times.

Features

I’m going to get technical now. The NZXT Lift Elite Wireless is ultrasmooth. In fact in my notes for this review I wrote “so smooth, mouse go wee”. Only the most professional of reviews here. For those who like numbers this mouse is capable of 4,000 Hz polling when used wirelessly and 8,000 Hz polling when using wired connection. Great for high refresh monitors! Speaking of connections, you can use this via the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle option or wired via USB.

Getting back to the numbers, on the bottom of this very pretty bit of kit you’ll see the impressive 26K DPI optical sensor. Which for those who aren’t as in to tech specs, basically means this mouse is ultra precise however fast you zoom across your desk with it. The optical switches within the mouse have a great response time too. Making sure that browser tab you’ve just rushed to close is gone before you know it.

Bold claims

NZXT boasts that the battery life of this mouse is around 70 hours of playtime on a single charge. I’m not so sure about this. I’ve used it every day since it arrived and only had to charge it once. And I hold my hands up to not charging it before I started using it either. So that was just on whatever battery life it had out of the box. I can safely say this is over 70 hours. Maybe people use their mouse more intently then I do. However, this has an incredible battery life. Factor in that you can fast charge in 15 minutes to gain 15 hours of battery, and you’ll be hard pressed to find something better.

Of course, we all love a bit of customisation. There is no RGB, however, using the NZXT CAM software, users can adjust DPI, polling rate as well as remapping your buttons. Users can also create up to five profiles to store on the onboard memory.

Final Thoughts

The NZXT Lift Elite Wireless is a great mouse. Which sounds a bit like I’m underselling it. But it truly is just great all round. The battery life is great. The comfort is great. The button response is great. Even the price is great. I wholeheartedly recommend this gaming mouse.
