Regular readers of Thumb Culture will know about the TC Mini Crew, our affectionate name for the kids of the editorial team here! Middle of the TC Crew has been asking to write a review for a while, and the release of new Happy Meal McDonald’s Squishmallow toys seemed the perfect opportunity. And so without further ado, enjoy this review written and product photos by Middle of the TC Mini Crew.
Bring On The Squishes
McDonald’s have got new Happy Meal Toys finally, and they are Squishmallows, which I love. There are fifteen to collect and all of them are 3 inches big. You can read more about them on this website. So why not pop down to your local McDonald’s and order a happy meal to earn yourself one of these soft, cosy snuggle buddies!!!

Open Up
Once you open the cute happy meal box you’ll find an adorable boxed squish just waiting for you to open and enjoy! And that’s not all, with it’s amazing box art it draws you into opening it! Each McDonald’s Squishmallow box has the picture of your surprise squish on it. This makes it easy to know who you have waiting for you.
The box also has a scan QR code which has a fun game to play. It has an epilepsy warning though so be careful if you have epilepsy like my mum.

Unboxing
This was my first McDonald’s Squishmallow and I got Avery the duck. I was really hoping for Halley the Axolotl, who is a new galaxy Axolotl but as my Dad-E likes ducks I am still happy with Avery. Whilst we’re on the subject of Avery, they are 3-inches tall and have extra fluffy wings. The label on their hand has a little bit of character information. It says “Avery. Avery plays rugby and hopes to coach one day!” I really like Avery’s fluffy wings and them being a different material to the body. It feels really nice to touch. They have nice colours and smile too.

Stay tuned for more news about the other McDonald’s Squishmallow toys! As for this I think we can give the McDonald’s Squishmallow Happy Meal toys a good ol’ Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
