Legend of Zelda fans, including myself, have been longing for a Zelda themed LEGO set for years. Whilst as the years went on this seemed Hylian unlikely. It’s now (Ocarina of) Time. That’s right. It’s the official release day of the LEGO Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set.
Before you read on I just need to get this out there. I am a huge Legend of Zelda fan. I am also a big fan of puns. So, yes there will be as many Zelda puns as I can fit into this article. But don’t worry, if it doesn’t feel right I won’t tri and force it.
Hey! Listen!
Fans of LEGO and the Legend of Zelda games have long coveted a collaboration of these IP giants. Over the years there have been some fantastic fan made builds. Whilst these LEGO MOCs could be marvelled (should that be Nintendo’d) at, they were not for the average collection. Until now. The Sages have heard our pleas and the LEGO Great Deku Tree set is now on the shelves. Better yet, this is a 2-in-1 set. Because what’s better than one Great Deku Tree? Two Great Deku Trees! This set can be built into either the Great Deku Tree as seen in Ocarina of Time or the newer iteration from the Breath of the Wild game. Whichever you choose, they each have small builds alongside the main Deku Tree such as Link’s house. The Deku Tree also has posable facial features!
Of course what would a Legend of Zelda LEGO set be without Link or Princess Zelda themselves? The LEGO Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set includes three minifigure versions of Link as well as a Princess Zelda minifigure. Link can stay safe with his trusty Hylian Shield, the Master Sword and Ocarina of Time accessories too. There are also plenty of other LOZ hidden details that I wouldn’t want to spoil for you.
