Console Wars The Card Game Kickstarter in final days

Console Wars is in large letters with a pink, blue and white horizontal gradient which takes up the majority of the image. Beneath that is says the card game in neon letters with three game cards beneath the subtitle.

Last month, XboxEra revealed their new Kickstarter, Console Wars The Card Game. The gaming community responded positively and the project was funded in less than 4 days! Following this success XboxEra took the game on the road to Gamescom 2024 to get the game in the hands of the fans.

Start building your fanbase

Console Wars The Card Game is a satirical, parody-filled spin on the gaming industry. Players collect incredible intellectual properties, build a dedicated fanbase, and compete to become the true market leader in the console wars.

There are six cards that alternate with blue and red bands at the top of the card. The blue cards say fanbase 40m and have the casuals wrote in blue text. The red cards say fanbase 30m and the hardcore in red letters. There are different designs for each of the people on the card representing different groups. — Are you a casual or hardcore gamer?

The XboxEra team had high expectations for their debut at Gamescom and they weren’t disappointed. Following discussions with publishers and the positive reaction from the gaming community there is a possibility of a digital version of the game in the future too! ‘Running a booth at Gamescom 2024 was a lot of hard work but so rewarding. The response on the show floor from gamers was nothing short of phenomenal. We had groups returning over multiple days just to play again, and our humble indie booth was packed every single day of the show.

The best quote I heard unprompted at the booth was: ‘This is the ultimate card game for gamers’. Maybe we’ll put that on the box!’

The Kickstarter is counting down to the final hours
