S.C.A.R – 90’s Retro FPS In Da House?

Do you like running around and shooting monsters? Yes? I thought so. S.C.A.R stands for Simulating Carnage and Rockets, which is a perfect way to describe, it is a new game developed by Savage Studios and published by Audio Visual Enterprises S.A. S.C.A.R is only on PC at the moment, whether it makes the step to console is still yet to be seen. Gameplay S.C.A.R plays really well, with the retro FPS vibe, moving around in the different sections of the game is brilliant, picking up new guns, ammo, healing etc. Weapons are pretty standard for an FPS. It really makes you go mental with the amount of stuff you can do, blowing up monsters with your rocket launcher or just beating them up with your fists. The mobility is brilliant with you being able to jump pretty high but then also speed da...

Willy Morgan & The Curse of Bone Town – Hey You Guuuuyyyyssss!

Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town by Italian devs Imaginarylab and publishers VLG is a point and click adventure game that beautifully blends together a fantasy pirate-themed world with the modernism of today. Initially available on PC today (11th of August), and later coming to all consoles, I was lucky enough to play through the complete version of the game that delves a lot further into the story than the demo. Don't worry there won't be any spoilers me hearties! Gameplay You play as teenager Willy Morgan as he uncovers the story surrounding his famous archaeologist Father's mysterious disappearance ten years ago, all thanks to a well-timed letter dropping through the letterbox. What ensues is a very alluring plotline that takes you to Bone Town, a quaint pirate vil...

Gameplay Beyond A Steel Sky is a single-player game whereby you take on the role of Robert Foster, perceived as a rogue due to coming from a place called the Gap.  The main quest is to infiltrate a utopian Union City to discover where a kidnapped child has been taken.  What proceeds is a story-driven exploration around a heavily regulated city littered with challenging puzzles and interactive ...

Half-Life: Alyx – Not A Half-Baked Experience…

The year is 2020 and whilst we've been living in what feels like some future dystopian nightmare as a killer virus spread across the globe, ironically two of the biggest games of the year are Final Fantasy VII and Half-Life. It won't sate your need to find out what happened after the cliffhanger of Episode 2, but it...

Trackmania – Trackmildia

When I hear the word Trackmania, all I can think of are those really crazy looking tracks where all you have to do is press GO, and you'll race fairly automatically through a series of cool jumps and narrow holes. Admittedly this is my first foray into the Trackmania franchise, Though I've been interested for a long time. It's a franchise that's been ongoing for nearly two decades now, with various iterations and versions of the game released on a bunch of different platforms. The latest Trackmania is a remake of a previous title, called Trackmania Nations. It a free-to-play starter version or you can choose to subscribe to a yearly pass or buy the standard edition. Subscribing to the pass allows you access to all the online club events and social aspects, like customization of your car li...
