Vendetta Forever - Quest 3 Review

Do you enjoy a workout on top of high fast paced shooting and dodging, well I have the game for you. Vendetta Forever was developed by Meatspace Interactive and published by nDreams (one of my favourite VR studios).

V For Vendet….Maybe Not

After having a wildly successful demo the full version is finally here. Available on Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S, Pro and PlayStation VR2

Gameplay

If you liked Superhot then you will enjoy Vendetta Forever. You can tell this has some deep inspirations from Superhot but expands upon the idea, like a spiritual successor. The gameplay is a mix of gunplay and melee with some levels inspired from cinematic moments. The game features a wide variety of weapons, from different guns to shurikens, swords and throwing knives.

At the start of each level you are given a task ranging from killing everyone, or a VIP, just reaching the exit and no causalities. All this is on top of hidden video tapes to find. There are also modifiers to unlock that can adjust the difficulty of the game. Some levels gave me some real problems and had to try maybe 5 times to figure it out but was a fun challenge.

There will be times you think the game is not working or the game won’t advance. Don’t restart the game as it’s just where you have killed enemies too far away and weapons despawn after time for example.

Graphics & Audio

The visuals may not wow you with graphics but it low poly certainly looks good and bright. The simple visual style runs smoothly with satisfying animations.

Longevity

Although the levels are short but designed for quick rapid movement that will get your blood pumping. Each level usually takes around a minute and under for each stage. This doesn’t effect the replayability with more than 60 scenes, 20 modifiers, 50+ iconic weapons, 50+ achievements and an online global leaderboard. This game can give you many hours of fun with unlocks and high scores to keep you coming back for more. Vendetta Forever brings a competitive edge wanting you to climb that leaderboard.

Final Thoughts

I am in awe of this game and will keep playing it in the future. For fans of fast-paced gameplay, I can’t recommend this game enough and with a demo available there’s no reason to see if this is your type of game. See if you end up being like me and getting addicted to Vendetta Forever.
