Two Point Studios recently released the Fantasy Finds DLC, but what exactly does this add to the game that received a Platinum Award from me? Priced at £6.99 on Steam, it’s super affordable if you enjoy the base game of Two Point Museum.

Roll For Initiative!

If you aren’t sure about purchasing the full update, you can check out a small portion of the content in the base game. It’s incredibly limited, but it gives you an insight into whether you are going to enjoy the fully fledged Fantasy Finds DLC.

Gameplay

I’m not going to go into the gameplay arc of Two Point Museum. If you want to read more about the actual game, then check out my link back at the top. Otherwise, let’s dive into the Fantasy Finds DLC.

Give yourself plenty of space!

Now, one thing to note is that this doesn’t add anything other than bits and pieces to go in your already existing museums. It doesn’t add any new areas to place a museum. The first thing that you will need to do is hire some new experts. Those who are… experts in Fantasy. That way, you can start to explore the new map.

Once you’ve got a few new members of staff, you can start to send them out on expeditions. The best thing to do is to carve out a nice little area for your new finds, and with plenty of points of interest to venture out into, there is plenty to discover. With 40 new exhibits that each have different magical properties, you will need a nice, big area.

Make sure you are still taking care of your buzz level and especially keeping those info screens dotted around. With a number of decorations along with utility items to choose from, you can make your Fantasy Finds area completely individual.

The further you delve into your journey, the more magical and fantastic shiny things you will find. With a few new visitor types as well, just rounding out what you can expect.

Graphics & Audio

As with the rest of the game, the Fantasy Finds DLC has gorgeous graphics. With lots of little animations bringing your exhibits to life, it really does pay to just sit and watch. Watching how your visitors interact, as well as any nuances of the actual exhibits, all add to the enjoyment of the DLC.

So much of my time was just spent zoomed in as close as I could, just watching the world go by. Watching the different visitors become impressed by the exhibits and then searching for the donation boxes to give me some of their hard-earned cash.

That’s it… enjoy my stuff.

The audio hasn’t been improved since the main game, although that isn’t a bad thing, as the main game has such a great audio presence. The museum radio is brilliant, with random messages that, if you aren’t paying attention, will just miss out.

Longevity

There really isn’t a time you can put on the DLC. With it being available across all other museums, it really is a case of how long is a piece of string. I expect that you will continue to use the Fantasy Finds DLC as long as you are playing the game.

Final Thoughts

The Fantasy Finds DLC is a great addition to an already great game. People who purchase it will absolutely love what it adds to the game.
