Occupy Mars released for PC on 10th May, available in early access via Steam. Built upon the Unity engine, this sandbox survival game sees players build and survive on Mars. Being an avid fan of all things space travel and an ex game developer, I'm excited to see a space game developed in Unity for a change. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is a 2023 turn-based strategy video game developed by the original makers of Advanced Wars Intelligent Systems in collaboration with Way Forward and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is a remake of the first two titles in the Advance Wars series, Advance Wars (2001) and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (2003). Initially announced for a December 2021 release but then delayed to April 8, 2022, the hold back again due to the Russia Invasion of Ukraine. The game finally saw its release on April 21, 2023. Blood Bowl III – PC Review

From Nacon publishing comes the next entry, Blood Bowl III, created by Cyanide Studios. Released on February 23rd this year, players get another shot at taking their teams to the top. You can pick up this strategy-RPG game on Xbox and PlayStation for £34.99 with the Brutal Edition for £49.99 or grab it on Steam for £24.99. A Switch port is currently in development, with a release planned sometime this year. All's fair in blood and Waaaagh! I was never good at sports games like Madden, Fifa or PGA tour. The Art of War: Card Game – PC Preview

The Art of War: Card Game is the newest release from publisher and developer Brightdawn Entertainment (A Walk in the Woods VR). It is a non-collectable deck builder card game set in a fantasy world with Game of thrones style machinations. I immediately felt the similarities to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game so I wasn't surprised when Brightdawn cited Gwent as inspiration. As well as bringing what they felt the genre was missing and a social game like Gwent, Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! The Art of War is available now on PC but still in early access. This Land is My Land – PC Review

After the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 which showcased settlers in the untamed lands that went on to be the USA, some gamers wanted a Native Indian's take on that time of turmoil. The game developers, Game-Labs, set about creating just that with This Land is My Land, a game full of beautiful scenery and wilderness, aimed at survival and growth. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – PC Review

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the latest offering from game developers Fatshark released on 30th November 2022. The devs have had success previously with best-selling and award-winning Vermintide. Here however you are flung into a dystopian world full of corruption and war. The game sees you take the role of a repurposed prison escapee thrown into serving the army, who are fighting off a heretical cult known as the Admonition. STOP.....HAMMER TIME! Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's main feature is teaming up with others to work together in a multiplayer co-op style of gameplay. I find myself gravitating towards this style of gameplay.
