Whirlight: No Time To Trip – PC Review

There’s something comforting about a good point-and-click adventure game. Maybe it’s the weird characters, the ridiculous puzzles, or just the fact that they let you slow down and enjoy the world instead of sprinting between explosions every five seconds. Whatever the reason, Whirlight: No Time To Trip absolutely nails that old-school adventure feeling while still managing to feel modern enough to avoid becoming stuck in the past. After checking out the preview a while back, I was already interested in what the Willy Morgan devs, ImaginaryLab, was building. The humour landed well, the art style looked fantastic, and the puzzles showed real promise. Now that the full game is here, I can happily say the final result delivers on pretty much everything I hoped it would. Time For Adventure!...

The Spell Brigade – PC Review

The Spell Brigade is an Action Rougelike Survivor game from Bolt Blaster Games. The game gives me the mix of Vampire Survivor and a dash of Deep Rock Galactic" Survivor for the mobs. The one aspect that makes it different from those two is that this game starts with Co-op. In fact, they encourage you to play with others. Thankfully, Bolt Blaster kindly gave enough keys to play with others to fully experience the game. So, I'll be giving my full thoughts and opinion on the game. Now everyone, pick your wizard, collect the mana and let's fight the final boss known as this review. See...when you give me a game like this with wizards, I'm hoping a reference of Ball Wizard can one day be reality. Gameplay We start as just a normal orb wizard. Destroying creatures we know aren't friendly...

Bus Bound – PS5 Review

Simulator titles based on relatively mundane jobs are like marmite. You either love them or hate them. Personally, I quite like getting stuck into a virtual job. More so than my real job, anyway. Developed by stillalive studios, Bus Bound is the latest sim that puts players behind the wheel of the most unreliable of all public transport: the bus. Clue's in the name really... Available now for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, is Bus Bound another surprisingly fun public transport sim from the developer that brought us the well-received Bus Simulator 21? Let's find out! The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round In my short time working at Thumb Culture, I feel like I've covered a lot of simulators. However, I've yet to review one centred around buses! Although I don't like act...

MOTOGP 26 – PS5 REVIEW

Lights out and away we go! MOTOGP 26 is the newest instalment in the well-established MOTOGP series. Developed and published by Milestone S.r.l., it aims to bring 'A new generation of riding physics'. You can buy this latest addition on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC now for between £50 and £ 60. How different is MOTOGP 26 from its predecessor? Let's take a look together. Gameplay I have played the MOTOGP games since 2013, with a current goal being to 100% all years from 2013 onwards. Therefore, I have seen a variety of changes that have been implemented throughout these years. There have been changes that have been both good and bad, so it will be interesting to see how 26 is different from its predecessors. The game mode I have put the most hours into is the career mode. I...

The End of the Sun – PS5 Review

If "story-driven adventure steeped in Slavic folklore" is a phrase that interests you, then get ready for this one! The End of the Sun, developed by the small, family-run studio The End of the Sun Forge, certainly piqued my interest when I first saw it. Originally releasing on Steam in 2025 to a "Very Positive" reception, the game is now available for PlayStation 5. Is this a tale worth telling? Or will playing this game have you begging for the end of the actual sun? Let's find out! Spend Your Days in the Sunshiiiiiiine! With plenty of walking simulators out there, it can be difficult to find ones that tell a genuinely engaging story. Got any recommendations for someone who is admittedly not too clued in on the genre? Let me know in the comments below, so I can add them to my ever-ex...

The Last Gas Station – PC Review

The Last Gas Station is a cosy game that says it has a little bit of a dark twist. Which is exactly what I love! The game itself is developed and self-published by Alawar. We will be running and restoring a run-down gas station, all while playing a cute red panda. If your curious about the game, then it is out now on Steam for £12.99 Nothing ever bad happens in the country. Gameplay In The Last Gas Station we assume the role of a Red Panda, who takes over management of a gas station. Not much is known about our character as most of the game focuses on running the place, but some strange things do occur in the night. At the start players will man the basic gas pump and restock some shelves with products. All of which are purchased at the computer in the back of the station. After savin...

Blades, Bows and Magic – PC Review

Blades, Bows and Magic, developed and published by Funk Games, arrives on Steam with a smart little pitch. It takes the card battler formula, strips away most of the clutter, and builds the whole thing around placement, abilities, and a rock-paper-scissors core. Warriors beat Archers, Archers beat Mages, Mages beat Warriors. Simple. Clean. Easy. That approach gives it an immediate charm, especially if you do not fancy wrestling with a hundred systems before the first fight. Nevertheless, that simplicity creates its own friction. Blades, Bows and Magic often let you understand exactly what should happen, but they do not always let you make it happen. The result is a card battler that feels approachable and lively, but also more random than strategic as the novelty wears off. Blades, Bow...

Adorable Adventures – PS5 Review

Adorable Adventures, developed by Wild Sheep Studio and published by PQube, is a story of courage, bravery, and smells. You control Boris, a little baby Boar that has to use his sense of smell to reunite his family after they were separated. It's such a beautiful story and one I've been excited to play since seeing the trailers and TikTok videos everywhere. Can you smell it? We were fortunate enough to get an early key to find out just what makes this game tick, and sniff. So let's find out just why Boris might be your favourite little quadruped Gameplay The core gameplay of Adorable Adventures revolves around exploration and your nose. KuloNiku: Bowl Up! PC Review

KuloNiku: Bowl Up! is Casual, Indie, Simulator from the same minds from Knight vs Giants, Gambir Studio. With the well known publisher Raw Fury. The same company that helped release Two Crowns, one very addictive game that I have over 100 hours in. KuloNiku is honestly inspiring me to make some interesting and tasty dishes. Yet, I've been really curious about the meatballs recipe that grandma made for the Protag to use. Now, let's get ready to chop some chilis, add some meatballs and start this review. Who comes into a ramen to ask for no soup in there ramen?! There's an Olive Oil Greenhouse down the road! Order up! KuloNiku: Bowl Up! has us starting by choosing the name and gender of the Protag. (Who I picked as my partner Yami) Which afterwards we discover that us with our close ...
