ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN PC Review

ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN an Action Adventure game from the most creative minds at Grasshopper Manufacture (Suda51). The same company that has created some the most beloved cult classic games like the No More Heroes series, Killer 7 and Lollipop Chainsaw. Even the games for animes such as Samurai Champloo and Blood + craftly made from this amazing company. The first exposure to Suda51's creative madness was actually when my cousins were playing Killer 7. And the rest was history to be frank. The rule of thumb when playing a Grasshopper game is to never think you can predict their next move. Gameplay ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN is about...well Romeo. A deputy sheriff that while checking the body in the middle of the road got a severe injury. An injury that cost him his life, but thanks to his grandf...

Reanimal – PC Review

Reanimal was announced back in August 2024, is now finally out. It comes from the creators of Little Nightmares 1 & 2, and has us stepping into a dark, depressing world. I've had my eyes on this game since it was shown, and I am happy to be reviewing it. You can pick it up on Steam for £34.99 or grab the Deluxe Edition at the price of £49.99. That will snag you the season pass, and two additional masks. Honestly, though, seems a little steep. We're just animals still learning to behave Gameplay We are thrown into the world of Reanimal without any context. One of our main protagonists awake on a boat floating across a black ocean with nothing but red glowing life buoys to guide him. Shortly after, we save our second protagonist from the dark sea. And proceed onward with our journey...

HumanitZ – PC Review

HumanitZ is an isometric, open-world zombie survival game. After a couple of years in early access on Steam, developer Yodubzz Studios is venturing into 1.0 release. Pick up the pieces as one of the few remaining humans to build, farm, explore, and survive as long as possible. It is available on Steam now with publishing by indie.io (Coromon, Dark Deity 2). The 1.0 release is live on Friday, sixth of February. How Long Can You Keep Your Humanity in HumanitZ? Zombies and survival games seem to just go hand in hand. The nice thing is that they come in all different flavors. I recall spending a number of days in zombie modes of CoD, and others in the early days of DayZ. I was curious to see how HumanitZ felt in comparison. Especially since that last zombie survival game was just... yeah. So...

Cairn – PS5 Review

What's this? Back-to-back reviews of games I did back-to-back previews of last year? That's continuity, folks. This time I'm playing Cairn, the latest game from The Game Bakers; a small French studio — just 17 full-time members working remotely around the world — responsible for Furi and Haven. It's clear these guys have some serious range. Speaking of, Cairn sees protagonist Aava tackling a mountain range, culminating in an attempt to climb the yet unconquered Kami. In order to summit this killer mountain, Aava will need grit, determination, and perseverance... as will I. Nothing Worth Doing Was Ever Easy As a realistic climbing/survival simulation, nothing I've ever played previously compares to Cairn. Yes, we have games with climbing and stamina mechanics such as A Short Hike and Jusa...

Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Vision of Four Heroes – PS5 Review

I am excited to be playing Dynasty Warriors: Origins' new DLC, Visions of Four Heroes. Here is hoping for more epic battles, and maybe a more in-depth look into the four heroes we will see. I have already reviewed the base game, so why not check out my thoughts on that. The DLC is available on PlayStation 5 for £28.99. Oh boy, that seems a little steep. Gifs used in this article may contain flashing. A Tiger Among Dragons. Gameplay The Vision of Four Heroes gives us four mini what-if campaigns. That show the player what would have happened if Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhou, Yuan Shao, or Lu Bu, had not fallen in battle. You start the DLC via your room in the Inn. Zhang Jiao's is first, but once his story is told, you are able to choose the other three in whatever order you please. I opted f...

A game all about breeding felines ready for fighting. Aim to get the best of your little fur balls as you send them out into the world to cause hell. Expect various items, monsters, and jokes when it releases on Steam for £24.99 Make them babies! Ghost Keeper – PC Early Access Preview

I did not expect to be checking out a true "spiritual" successor to the classic game Ghost Master. Although it is not made by the same team, you are able to see the clear inspiration used for the game. I mainly played Ghost Master on PS2, but always wished for another title. So I am happy to see that Ghost Keeper will be making that happen. It is out in early access now on Steam for £10.99, which is rather cheap! There is also a demo available as well. Things that go bump in the night. Gameplay There is not a main story so far in Ghost Keeper, but the level objectives are the same. Kill or scare, all present mortals with a team of ghosts. Each ghost gets their own unique skills, while also sharing some universal ones. Universal skill they tend to share, are telekineses and breakdown, ...
