I love it when studios have a go at making a game of the SCP universe. And HST Studios is shooting their shot. Entering early access is SCP: Fragmented Minds, a new survival horror where we will fight or hide while trying to uncover the truth in an abandoned facility. A new early access release called Gravelord has dropped into my library this week. It’s a fast-paced retro-styled shooter, developed by Fatbot Games, s. r. o. FREEDOM WARS Remastered – PS5 Review

Thanks to Bandai Namco, we get to see the return of FREEDOM WARS. Originally released back in 2014 for the PlayStation Vita, it arrives back into your life on consoles and steam. I’ll be checking out the PS5 version for this review and to see how well it runs compared to its handheld counter-part. From the first cutscene that shows a failed bombing run, Sniper Elite: Resistance proves it doesn't miss the target but hits it. I'm a big fan of the long-range Rebellion-developed World War II combat shooter and always look forward to a new entry where I can pop Nazi skulls like a jelly-filled balloon. Digital Minds Games have brought us The Spirit of the Samurai. A side-scrolling action platformer where we play Takeshi, a Samurai looking to defend his village from a looming evil. Out now on Steam for £16.99. I saw it all in a dream. The story begins with a young boy looking to meet a Kitsune. Once it appears, it tells us the story of a past samurai who once existed. The samurai in question was called Takeshi, and he could communicate with the spirits, who then tell him of the return of an ancient evil. This sets us up for our story. Empire of The Ants has me assume control of a brave little ant as it helps its colony. Tackle the harsh world of mother nature in this new strategy game by Tower Five. The game is out now on Steam and goes for £34.99, while for another ten quid will land you the Deluxe Edition. In the deluxe you’ll get digital artwork, soundtrack, and wallpapers. In a world of horror big hitters like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, it can be hard to come up with something that reinvents the genre in a way that is successful and even more terrifying than the bigger players in the game. Rat Cliff Games decided that it was time to take the reins with their new first-person horror Among Ashes. When I saw the first trailer for Among Ashes, I initially skipped it.
