Sniper Elite: Resistance – PS5 Review

From the first cutscene that shows a failed bombing run, Sniper Elite: Resistance proves it doesn't miss the target but hits it. I'm a big fan of the long-range Rebellion-developed World War II combat shooter and always look forward to a new entry where I can pop Nazi skulls like a jelly-filled balloon. The game arrives on the 30th of January 2025 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and PC with two editions: the regular and deluxe. Digital Minds Games have brought us The Spirit of the Samurai. A side-scrolling action platformer where we play Takeshi, a Samurai looking to defend his village from a looming evil. Out now on Steam for £16.99. I saw it all in a dream. The story begins with a young boy looking to meet a Kitsune. Once it appears, it tells us the story of a past samurai who once existed. The samurai in question was called Takeshi, and he could communicate with the spirits, who then tell him of the return of an ancient evil. This sets us up for our story. In a world of horror big hitters like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, it can be hard to come up with something that reinvents the genre in a way that is successful and even more terrifying than the bigger players in the game. Rat Cliff Games decided that it was time to take the reins with their new first-person horror Among Ashes. When I saw the first trailer for Among Ashes, I initially skipped it.
