In May, Lost In Cult announced their entry into the physical video game publishing market. Their offering includes both high-availability, standard retail editions of games, alongside exquisite quality, trinket-packed, collectors EDITIONS. They’ve recently announced the 4th game in their line-up, Hauntii.

Hauntii is a super stylish, 2-tone adventure that is summed up on its website by 4 words. Admittedly these are then expanded upon, but we appreciate the sentiment:

  • Haunt – Possess objects and creatures to creatively solve puzzles and conquer combat
  • Explore – Wander a meticulously crafted world where any path you take leads to new discoveries
  • Collect – Stars complete constellations, which in turn uncover the story of Hauntii’s past
  • Relax – Enjoy a laid back pacing with occasional action and a wonderful soundtrack

Hauntingly Beautiful Physical Games

This includes a poster, physical PS5 game case, box and slip-case for the bundle, a booklet, a series of art cards, a signature card and a sticker. Text on image reads: “LIC PS-003. Hauntii. PS5. EDITIONS Include: Essay & dev interview booklet, poster and sticker, 4 art cards, Director's authenticity card, variant game cover. Limited to 1,500 copies. Order now lostincult.co.uk”

Lost In Cult have developed a stunning template for their EDITIONS releases. Each game comes in a unique, art covered slipcase with high quality art, which will no doubt look fantastic on display. Inside, there’s a secondary slipcase detailing the release details. The items within the cases include a printed signature card from the game’s director, art cards, a fold-out poster with original artwork, a 40-page essay booklet, and of course, the game, with a variant cover. Unboxing these will be a real treat and I cannot wait for them to arrive.

Alongside the limited EDITIONS release (1500 copies for PS5 and 3000 for Switch), a highly available, standard retail physical version of the games launches simultaneously, ensuring availability for more people at a lower cost than the collector’s edition. This feeds into one of Lost In Cult‘s most important values, game preservation. They’re the first company to work with DoesItPlay? to guarantee that the full game, with latest updates and patches, is playable out of the box with no internet connection required. For me, this is the most essential aspect setting Lost In Cult apart from other limited release providers.

A Fine Addition To My Collection

As the third PS5 and Switch game in the EDITIONS series, Hauntii rounds out the first Lost In Cult Bundles for each system. On PS5, Hauntii is joining Immortality and Thank Goodness You’re Here!. Whereas on Switch, The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow replaces Immortality in the trio. Each triple pack of EDITIONS comes with a 5% saving over buying them all individually.

We're doing it differently. We're doing it better. Pay a discounted price and save on multiple shipping costs with our tri-monthly PlayStation Bundles. Never miss out on an EDITIONS release by guaranteeing your copies before they even launch. Receive all three at once when the last game is ready to ship. A curated, artful collection with a monthly release cadence. Available while stocks last. Order now lostincult.co.uk”
Lost In Cult have direct line to my bank account with these.

A new game is announced each month, so look forward to further news in August about the next EDITIONS reveal. Having pre-ordered the PS5 bundle I hope to bring you some more images of these beautiful collections when they arrive. You can pre-order these games over at Lost In Cult while stocks last.
