It is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam, with development by Stitch Heads Entertainment (Kabounce) and publishing by Raw Fury (Kingdom Two Crowns, Dome Keeper). Check it out today with three of your friends! Fuse Your Skills To Fit Your Style In Superfuse If you ask a random gamer what games come to mind when they think of the ARPG genre, I wouldn't doubt if Path of Exile and the Diablo series are among the first to note. Come to think of it I'm fairly certain Diablo was one of the first PC games I really got to play. I know I spent plenty of time in high school playing Diablo 2 online with my best friend as well. So I couldn't pass up the chance to check out Superfuse once I educat...

Road 96: Mile 0 – PC Preview

I got to check out an exclusive preview of Road 96 Mile 0, a story-rich narrative-driven game, which serves as a prequel to the 2016 game Road 96 and is developed by Digixart, who also published the game with help from Ravenscourt. They are also known for their other title 11-11 Memories Retold which was also received well back in 2018. You can pick up Road 96 Mile 0 when it releases 4th April 2023 on Steam, Playstation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s not about the destination, but the journey  I have never played Road 96, so when I saw that this was a prequel I was happy to check it out and see why my friends fell in love. Road 96: Mile 0 seemed like the best way and so here we are ready to see the highs and lows of our dual protagonists on their journey of self-discovery. Gameplay In Roa...

Goblins of Elderstone – PC Preview

Built using Unreal Engine 4 by Lost Goblin and Outerdawn Limited, Goblins of Elderstone is a city-building strategy game with a chaotic twist. Though it was released all the way back in January 2018, the game is still in early access. Shape The Future Of Your Goblins As the game is still in early access, this means the game still contains bugs, unbalanced mechanics and occasionally strange behaviour. With a modest 6/10 average score review on Steam, let's take a look and see what the devs have been up to for the last few years. Getting Started At it's core, Goblins of Elderstone is a city-building strategy game where you shape the future of your Goblins. Using your cunning, wits and smarts you must decide what your goals, morals and limitations are. We begin our journey with a backstor...

The Art of War: Card Game – PC Preview

The Art of War: Card Game is the newest release from publisher and developer Brightdawn Entertainment (A Walk in the Woods VR). It is a non-collectable deck builder card game set in a fantasy world with Game of thrones style machinations. I immediately felt the similarities to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game so I wasn't surprised when Brightdawn cited Gwent as inspiration. As well as bringing what they felt the genre was missing and a social game like Gwent, Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! The Art of War is available now on PC but still in early access. There is also the upcoming tabletop version later in 2023. Sun Tzu who? There's a new The Art of War in town I'd love to hear what anyone of you think of The Art of War: Card Game so feel free to comment below. Gameplay The Art of Wa...

Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure – PC Early Access Preview

Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is a relaxing, top-down casual game full of exploration and adventure. It hit PC Early Access on Steam in mid-August. Snowcastle Games (Earthlock) is responsible for both development and publishing. Though currently only available on PC, Snowcastle is planning to release Ikonei Island for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X/S at a later date. It will also eventually be multiplayer. Explore, Adventure, Farm, and Decorate to make Ikonei Island your own! There are plenty of farm/life sim games out there. Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing are two of my favorites. Though Ikonei Island isn't necessarily a farm sim game, it definitely scratches the same itch as those others seem to. There seem like so many things you can do that there i...

Marauders – PC Preview

Under development by Small Impact Games and published by Team17, Marauders is a tactical FPS multiplayer "looter shooter" set in space. Now in early access, Marauders is accessible via Steam. There is no official date yet for when this title will leave early access. Hopefully it doesn't stay in early access for years, which seems to be the latest trend in PC gaming. Small Impact Games? Small Impact Games - aka 'SIG' were unknown to me when I picked up this review, so I did a bit of research... Turns out that SIG have some serious experience in working on AAA titles, though it appears to mainly be third party projects, as I couldn't find an original title. Could Marauders see SIG burst onto the scene? Story Marauders features a pretty unique backstory, which is a welcome addition amongs...

Live By The Sword: Tactics – PC Preview

Sometimes I miss the good old days of computing. Flying a line drawn Cobra from Diso to Lave rather than dropping from a bus and staying inside an ever-decreasing storm. Imagine my delight when Live By The Sword: Tactics from Labrador Studios arrived for me to review. It looked like a refreshing reminiscence of when days were simpler and swords were sharper. All this was wrapped up in an 8bit feel, the 80s, here I come. Time to polish my helmet and grip my weapon in both hands, I'm going in. Live By The Sword: Tactics - May Lady Luck Guide You Well Gameplay First Impressions of Live By The Sword: Tactics are good, it's a simple mouse driven game. There are various modes that are available, some need to be unlocked by playing the story mode though, but that's always a good place to sta...
