Slipstream Review

Fans of OutRun and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 unite, for Slipstream is finally here on consoles. The game started out as a Kickstarter project way back in 2016. After reaching nearly $7,000 in backing, it finally came to fruition on PC in 2018. Slipstream was developed by a single developer, Brazilian Sandro Luiz de Paula of Ansdor Games. Slipstream - More Drift Than A Switch Joycon If you're into your retro-styled arcade racers, then you are in for a fun, yet frustrating time. For what it lacks in complexity, it more than makes up for it in its mastery. Slipstream is available from April 7th, 2022 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch and it's also playable on current generation consoles through backward compatibility. So, let's put the pedal to the metal and check out this love lette...

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Review

Star Wars and LEGO games feel like they have been around forever right? The first Star Wars game was The Empire Strikes Back, released in 1982 for the Intellivision and Atari 2600. LEGO Fun to Build was officially the first LEGO game released way back in 1995 on the Sega Pico. It wasn't until 2001 that LEGO started getting into the licensing game with LEGO Creator: Harry Potter released on PC. Then it all changed in the year 2005. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game was released on April 2nd of that year, followed by Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy a year later. With that said, almost 17 years to the day of the first LEGO Star Wars game, we have the one that we have all been waiting for; LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Agent Intercept Review

Agent Intercept is the latest title from New Zealand developer PikPok. Arcade-Racing in an over-the-top style that see's you drive a spy vehicle, perform ridiculous stunts and blow things up. Agent Intercept is available on Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo switch from 30th March Your Mission Should You Choose To Accept It Seeing Agent Intercept for the first time, I was dubious if I would enjoy it. The premises of the game was appealing I was unsure of how it would achieve the desired outcome. It is time for you to step up, Agent! Face off against the criminal organization CLAW as you drive the Agency's latest high-tech transforming vehicle, the Sceptre. Perform over-the-top stunts while dodging enemy fire, mines, and lasers, and blow up enemies with the Sceptre's high-tech gadgetry. Im...

Ghostwire: Tokyo Review

Ghostwire: Tokyo is the new action-adventure from Developer Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks Releasing as a 1 year timed exclusive on Playstation 5 and PC. Ghostwire: Tokyo - Hauntingly Beautiful Originally announced at E3 in June 2019, it caught my attention. Now that I've recovered from my reaction to Avengers EndGame, I can move like Doctor Strange! At least, that was my first reaction. It was not until Microsoft acquired Bethesda in September 2021, that Ghostwire: Tokyo was confirmed to be a timed console exclusive expected to arrive in 2022. This is when that reaction to the game was one of intrigue and a desire to get hands-on with it. That time has arrived and I am on the Playstation 5. Gameplay This first-person action-adventure sees you battle agai...

King of Fighters XV Review

As you may have guessed by the title. We have reached the 15th main game in SNK's long-running King of Fighters franchise. The series started way back in 1994. Little Orpheus – PS4 Review

For me, gameplay is always king. Being a rare exception to this rule, Little Orpheus is the first game I can think of that flips this train of thought on its head. It surprised me in such a delightful way. "And it happened like this" - Ivan Ivanovich Developed by award-winning Sumo Digital subsidiary The Chinese Room, this title began life as a mobile game. The Brighton-based studio is quickly garnering a reputation for having a penchant for epic storytelling, with previous titles such as Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther. Uncharted: Legacy of Theives – The Lost Legacy Review

Having played the original release of The Lost Legacy (read our review here) when it launched back in August 2017, I was excited when the Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection was announced. I loved the switch to a new, yet familiar lead character. To steal a quote from protagonist Chloe Frazer  - "when people have low expectations, it's much easier to take them by surprise".  A truer word couldn't be said about this cinematic story-driven action-adventure, as it did take me by surprise and stands as one of my favourite games in the Uncharted series to date. Recharted - The Lost Legacy Developed by PlayStation first-party studio Naughty Dog, this remaster collects PS4 titles A Thief's End and The Lost Legacy in one package and brings them natively to the PS5. There's a welcome upgr...
