It's available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 4/5. This review is for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Having loved the first 2 games in the series, Cat Quest III had been on my wishlist since it was announced. I was very excited to be able to jump back into this world again. In Cat Quest III, we take on the role of the last remaining Seeker; a being born to seek out the North Star, a treasure with the power to grant the user their greatest desire. Our tale begins by showing us that as a newborn, the ship we were travelling on was attacked and destroyed by the Pi-...

The Mortuary Assistant – PS5 Review

The PC has gone into the freezer and the PS5 edition of Mortuary Assistant has been rolled out. DarkStone Digital’s massive horror hit has finally made its way to consoles, allowing more players access to Rebecca and her spooky, mysterious backstory. I’ll admit, I’m a little bit late to the mortuary party. I’ve owned the original game on Steam since it came out but have never been brave enough to try it out for myself. With the rollout of the console version, it seemed like the best time to dive into the story of Rebecca and River Fields Mortuary. Checkout our other Playstation Reviews here... or if you want to read more of my ramblings check out my author page! A night shift in a Mortuary? What could possibly go wrong? If you’re also new to The Mortuary Assistant, then let me ...

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree PS5 Review

Review bombs, patches, and 5 million concurrent players - From Software has outdone themselves with the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Introducing new NPCs, unique bosses and expanding lore surrounding Miquella, Shadow of the Erdtree raises the standards yet again. With 80 new boss fights (11 of which are remembrance bosses), over 100 new weapons and 11 new NPCs, Shadow of the Erdtree can be viewed as a standalone game on its own and is definitely worth the £35 price point. Before you read this, yes I used my mimic, yes I ended up using a bleed build. No I don’t want to hear about it, let me be bad at the game okay? Spoilers ahead for the entirety of the DLC !!!! Gameplay As with any From Software DLC, the Shadow of the Erdtree is locked behind two bosses. Players mu...

True Colours A Date With Deception – PS5 Review

True Colours - A Date With Deception is a single-player visual novel narrative game from developer Borealis and EastAsisaSoft. Is this a cute visual novel about the pursuit of happiness? Or will you become entangled in a web of lies and deceit? Will you seek redemption? True Colours - A Date With Deception was originally released for PC in quarter 4 of last year. However, it can now be brought on all major platforms for approximately £10. Due to the nature of the game, I will try my best not to spoil anything. But please be warned that there will be some light spoilers. Gameplay With True Colours - A Date With Deception being a visual novel, this means that there is minimal gameplay. It is simple in the fact you continuously press the x button to progress through the game. Occasionally...

Until Then – PS5 Review

Until Then is a single-player visual novel narrative game from developer Polychroma Games. The game is set in a fictional version of the Philippines. Though I don't live in the Philippines, I found myself deeply immersed in its local culture and learned a lot about its people, while also experiencing a heartfelt narrative that truly resonates. Until Then? Its around 5 minutes and 51 seconds After incredibly positive demo reception, Until Then was released on PS5 and PC on June 25th, 2024. The game is a difficult one to review due to its narrative nature, but i'll do my best to not reveal anything big. There will be some light narrative spoilers. Gameplay Until Then is a visual novel with minimal interactivity, meaning the best you’ll get in ways of gameplay is the x button and occasion...

Killer Klowns From Outer Space – PS5 Review

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is a 7v3 asymmetrical horror game based on the 1988 movie of the same name, releasing on June 4th, 2024, on Steam, Xbox Series S/X and PS5 can Killer Klowns fill that Friday the 13th shaped hole in our hearts? Ki-Ki-Ki-Honk-Honk-Honk I love a good Asym game, sinking thousands of hours into dead by daylight, Texas chainsaw massacre, and others. the loss of Friday the 13th the game was a devastating loss to the community, especially for those who relished stalking players in atmospheric maps as the menacing Jason Voorhees, or as a victim evading his pursuit. Thankfully, Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game (mostly) succeeds in being as chaotic and fun, and even more so in some areas. Gameplay Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game, or as I’l...

V Rising – PS5 Review

V Rising is a game about a vampire who really needs to get up an escalator by any means necessary. It was released on PS5 And PC on June 11th after an early access period lasting two years. You really are the most devious vampire... I enjoyed what I played of V Rising in its early access state, but felt like the more linear progression system held it back, how has my opinion changed since? Find out! Gameplay V Rising is an online survival game first and foremost with a lot of inspiration from the Diablo series evident in its HUD, isometric view, and artstyle. The game may look similar to the Diablo series and an ARPG at first (even pointed out by a fellow writer when I was typing up this review) but V Rising carves out its niche with its survival gameplay. Survival Mechanics Now ...
