Antstream Arcade – PS5 Review

Antstream Arcade has been around for a while but recently launched on the PlayStation 4 & 5. We were lucky enough to get sent not only a code to access the game early but also a 12-month subscription. So what does this retro arcade app offer? Keep reading to find out! RETROOOOOO!! So what exactly is Antstream Arcade? What does it offer? Both valid questions needing answers. Which is just what I'm here to do with this review. Needless to say, there is a LOT of content in the arcade so let's get started. Gameplay In essence, Antstream Arcade is exactly what it sounds like. It's an arcade. Loading it up on the PlayStation 5 brings over 1300 classic games to your fingertips. With new games being added every week, this library is incredible! With classic games from the arcade through to...

Unholy – PS5 Review

Last week we covered the news that Duality Games'  horror game Unholy was soon to be released on console. Today I'm back to review the game! Unholy is a dark, twisted-adventure set around a Prophet who promises eternal happiness. As previously mentioned, it arrives tomorrow, Friday 13th for the PlayStation 5. It's usually too good to be true. Unholy’s story is about a mother who is attempting to save her son Gabriel’s soul after a dark ritual goes wrong. She is aided by an elderly woman who offers her a way to help save her child, but at what cost? Gameplay Unholy has players navigating between two realms to find clues in order to save your son's soul. These worlds are post-Soviet Eastern European town and the dark, grotesque world of Unholy, ruled by a merciless caste of priests...

Star Wars Outlaws – PS5 Review

After two recent successful releases where you play as a Jedi, Star Wars Outlaws is “The first open-world Star Wars Game;” where you play as a regular nonforce sensitive thief, Kay Vess. Star Wars Outlaws was developed by Massive Entertainment, and published by Ubisoft. The game was released on August 30th, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Star Cry Ubisoft has become synonymous with the open-world genre in recent years. Running around sprawling, yet often repetitive, maps, chasing question marks, and collecting dozens of meaningless trinkets just to tick another box off the checklist. For many players, including myself, the formula has grown a bit stale. So, when early previews for Star Wars Outlaws dropped, I was immediately intrigued by the promise of something fresh—a different k...

The Casting of Frank Stone – PS5 Review

The Casting of Frank Stone takes the universe of Dead by Daylight (with original story) and turns it into the interactive storytelling style that I know and love from Supermassive Games. There are two versions of the game, standard (£32.99) and deluxe (£39.99). The deluxe version includes instant access to the “Cutting Room Floor” and some additional outfits. Honestly, I prefer playing the killer myself. Now, I’m not such a fan of the actual gameplay style of Dead by Daylight, but I enjoy the lore it has. That’s why I was happy to see The Casting of Frank Stone in this kind of gameplay style. I have played a good few of Supermassive Games previous titles, such as Until Dawn, Dark Pictures series and The Quarry. All fantastic games in my opinion. I’m really hoping the The Casting of F...

Vampire Survivors – PS5 Review

Vampire Survivors is a 2022 roguelike shoot'em up game developed and published by Luca Glanace. The game has been so popular that Glanace went on to found 25 person strong studio Poncle, who work solely on the game. Vampire Survivors is initially set in Italy, where hordes of monsters have been summoned by the face of the game, our very own evil Bisconte Draculó. Which very closely resembles the tale of Count Dracula. He has set monsters upon the land to ravage. The Belpaese family and other heroic survivors take it upon themselves to hunt down and defeat Draculó. The later introduced DLCs include more heroes, more locations and even more chaotic fun than before! The game had been in an early access period from December 2021 and has now finally hit the PlayStation storefront. After a lo...

It's available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 4/5. This review is for the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Having loved the first 2 games in the series, Cat Quest III had been on my wishlist since it was announced. I was very excited to be able to jump back into this world again. Cat Quest III -  What's New Pussycat? In Cat Quest III, we take on the role of the last remaining Seeker; a being born to seek out the North Star, a treasure with the power to grant the user their greatest desire. Our tale begins by showing us that as a newborn, the ship we were travelling on was attacked and destroyed by the Pi-...

The Mortuary Assistant – PS5 Review

The PC has gone into the freezer and the PS5 edition of Mortuary Assistant has been rolled out. DarkStone Digital’s massive horror hit has finally made its way to consoles, allowing more players access to Rebecca and her spooky, mysterious backstory. I’ll admit, I’m a little bit late to the mortuary party. I’ve owned the original game on Steam since it came out but have never been brave enough to try it out for myself. With the rollout of the console version, it seemed like the best time to dive into the story of Rebecca and River Fields Mortuary. Checkout our other Playstation Reviews here... or if you want to read more of my ramblings check out my author page! A night shift in a Mortuary? What could possibly go wrong?
