If you are looking for a new keyboard to add to you setup, then Acer might have just what you need. The Predator Aethon 330 keyboard! We were fortunate to be sent a white version to get some hands on time before sending it back to Acer. Let’s have a little look at what this keyboard has beneath its shell.
Take Aim, It’s A Predator
So this keyboard is the 60% sized TKL version. Offering up a lot of advantages for a small keyboard, but does it give a full-sized experience? Let’s find out.
Design Features
As I mentioned above, this is a smaller form factor keyboard. Taking out the keypad and a bunch of other keys gives you a more compact design. I have to admit that it looks great on my desk, especially with the desk being all black. It’s solid, with a sturdy construction ensuring that you don’t get any slippage while playing any game.

The mechanical switches have a nice tactile click, without being too over the top. There’s nothing worse than having a loud keyboard when you’re in a group chat with your friends and immediately being singled out for it! It features an original mechanical shaft that gives you a lifespan of 50 million presses. Meaning this keyboard should last you for plenty of time.
Featuring a dual-mode connectivity, so you can connect via Bluetooth or straight into the PC via a wire. Personally I would use the wired connection for gaming to ensure that you don’t get an interrupted connection. However, if you want a keyboard just to make use of it, then the Bluetooth mode is good enough.

The keyboard boasts an ultra-responsive 1000Hz polling rate, giving you that instantaneous response when you press a key. Talking of the keys, those blue switches also feature anti-ghosting to ensure accuracy is kept at the forefront of the keyboard.
This is one of those keyboards that doesn’t really have a lot to it. Just standard features for a gaming keyboard. The main information that you should take away is that the keyboard is solid.
Final Thoughts
With a solid, sturdy build and great switches. The Predator Aethon 330 keyboard is a great addition to any setup. Retailing for around the £70 point, this is an inexpensive TKL keyboard that would look gorgeous sitting on any desk. Featuring switches that can last practically forever, and a dual connection mode. You might just find that this keyboard is your new favourite.
The Acer Predator Aethon 330 keyboard receives the Thumb Culture Silver Award. Missing out on the Gold purely because, when all is said and done, it’s a pretty basic gaming keyboard.
