Arcade Paradise VR – PSVR2 Review

It's no surprise that I'm a big fan of Arcade Paradise. I'm going to be up my own coin slot and flex my credentials—back in 2022, I won the Arcade Paradise Woodgal JR competition and even earned the platinum trophy for the game. So, who better to review the VR version of the game than me? (A lot of people, actually.) Do I get paid for this? After the original game's critical acclaim. Arcade Paradise VR launched on Meta Quest systems on April 25th, and later on PC and PSVR2 on August 8th. The game was developed by Nosebleed Interactive and published by Wired Productions. Story On the surface, Arcade Paradise seems like it’s all about the gameplay, and that’s mostly true. But the whole package is wrapped up nicely with a story told through emails and voice messages. It’s a tale of someon...

On Point – Quest 3 Preview

VR Shooters are ten to a penny, but something that isn't common is one that brings up that feeling of nostalgia. On Point from Actuator Digital does just that! Released recently into early access on both Steam VR and Meta Quest, via App Lab, the game looks to help you relive some arcade memories. All while playing from your living room. Say What Again! Can a VR game really invoke that much emotion? Can it compare to a game that I spent possibly hundreds of pounds on in the arcade? Will On Point be the messiah that brings me back to VR? Gameplay Firing up the game you are transported into a classic arcade, complete with cabinets all around. Unfortunately, you can't actually play all of these as they are currently stuck inside a barriered-off area. Moving away from the this, in front of ...

Not For Broadcast – PSVR 2 Review

Not for Broadcast is a full motion video game from British game developer, NotGames, and published by tinybuild. It was originally released on Steam in January 2022 after an early access period. News Flash, another poor VR Port. I had genuinely held off on playing not for broadcast for quite a while. The game is absolutely up my alley being a fan of both British comedy and FMV story games. Originally I wanted to play the flatscreen version, and then a VR version was announced for the meta quest 2. Being a platinum trophy hunter, I held off until the PSVR2 version of the game. Unfortunately, the wait was not worth it. Read on more to find out exactly why I came away from Not for Broadcast VR disappointed. Gameplay Not for Broadcast is one of the best uses of FMV I have seen in a gamepla...
