Eresys – PC Preview

Eresys is a horror survival game inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft by developers Ares Dragonis. It was released on 23rd April 2023 as an early-access game on pc. Just before writing this review, the developers have updated the game and you can expect more in the future. Unlike their previous release with a similar theme, The Shore, this game features a four-player co-op. I gathered up some Thumb Culture elite and we all ventured into the unknown to experience this game firsthand. Solasta: Palace of Ice – PC Preview

Palace of Ice is the latest DLC for Solasta and is a direct follow-up to Crown of the Magister. I was kindly invited to play with a few of the game's developers & publishers at Tactical Adventures. Solasta is their debut game and I was thrilled to be able to see their passion for it. The hour-long preview showcased 3 new regions with the return of the Soraks and new enemies demons & devils. The new campaign comes to PC on May 25th, almost exactly two years after Crown of the Magister. Fans of the base game will undoubtedly enjoy the 25+ hours of this high fantasy non-linear story. Back in 2016 I played a game called Teslagrad on PS Vita. I was so wowed by its art design and excellent use of clever gameplay mechanics that I went on to platinum the game and also purchased the physical edition too. Originally announced in October 2021, today sees the release of the Creature Collector-JRPG Cassette Beasts, developed by UK-based Bytten Studio, and published by Sweden-based Raw Fury. Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is the latest title from Ukrainian developer Frogwares. A remake of the original 2007 release shows the level of commitment Frogwares has to produce titles. Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is the latest game from game developers Kenei Design & Shueisha Games. They are a team of five who had the goal of creating a small but feature-rich world full of character and adventure. The game was released on 3rd March 2023 on all platforms after two years of development. Eeny Meeny Miney Oni Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is a game steeped in Chinese culture and nostalgia. The developers' goal was to make players feel as if they had jumped into the pages of a childhood picture book. I have to admit I like the look and feel of the game from its dark treelines and the muted colours of the foreground glades contrasted somewhat by the bright and vivid distant mountains.
