Postal 4: No Regerts – PS5 Review

From the Developers at Running with Scissors that brought amazing titles such as Postal, Postal 2, and so on comes the latest in this epic franchise: Postal 4: No Regerts. With all the crude humour and hilarious one-liners that Postal fans know, remember, and expect from this series. Postal 4: No Regerts goes on to meet these expectations and somehow keeps the momentum going.   There has always been controversy to this game franchise purely from the satirical and crass humour. For example, Postal 2 was banned in Germany and New Zealand for the sheer amount of violence and animal "abuse". Postal 4: No Regerts, yes that's how it's spelt Are you a long-time Postal fan? Have you been looking forward to Postal 4: No Regerts on consoles? let us know in the comments below! Gamep...

Titanium Hound – PC Review

I got to look at the self-published indie title Titanium Hound created by Red Spot Sylphina. A 2D action platformer with cyberpunk style pixel art released back in October 2022 for; Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and the platform I played on Steam. You can grab this for £11.39 or on sale for £5.69 from the Steam store. A different take on Robocop I was surprised to see this game go under everyone's radar as I couldn't find many gameplay videos on the whole game. The visuals look great, and the story seemed promising. I don't play a lot of 2D platformers, but I love the idea of being able to be a Police Officer and taking down criminals in a giant mech. Gameplay Players will play as Grace Alarie, a Special Police Force Officer who's pulled into a conspiracy involving the government and ...

Ultimate Zombie Defense – PC Review

Ultimate Zombie Defense is a nice casual action twin-stick shooter made and published by the small team at Terror Dog Studios. Some team members have even worked on well-known games, like Warhammer 40K and Total War titles. It is available to purchase now for £3.99, alongside a carnival map DLC for £1.99 on Steam. Defend against the oncoming hordes! I remember playing an old flash computer game called Boxhead with my friend, and Ultimate Zombie Defense reminds me of that. I enjoy getting to higher rounds and trying different guns and strategies. Who doesn't love causally fighting waves of zombies and trying to beat their own high score? Gameplay Players will get to select from four classes (Heavy, Medic, Specialist, and Engineer), each with their own skill tree. Classes are levelle...

Come to think of it I'm fairly certain Diablo was one of the first PC games I really got to play. I know I spent plenty of time in high school playing Diablo 2 online with my best friend as well. Like a Dragon: Ishin! – PC Review

This one is kind of a special one for me. Before the pandemic, I had never played any Yakuza/Like a Dragon titles. I played through most of them during the pandemic and Kamurocho became a somewhat home away from home. I was heavily invested in the internal conflicts and power struggles of the Tojo Clans' top brass. In some of the most isolated moments of the lockdown, I could always count on a "Kiryu-chan!" to cheer me up. So when the opportunity to take a look at Like a Dragon: Ishin! arose, I just had to jump at it! Today we'll be looking at the PC version, which costs £54.99/$59.99 on Steam at the time of writing. It will require 60GB of space. All Around Me are Familiar Faces! When I told a friend I was taking a look at Like a Dragon: Ishin! they asked: "does it involve time t...

Wanted: Dead – PS5 Review

From the developers that brought you Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive comes a new game, Wanted: Dead, Soleil's new and latest title. This time they have chosen to go for a new hybrid slasher/shooter style, with classic anime cutscenes and a story involving a major corporate conspiracy. Sounds good right? Hi-Fi Rush – PC Review

Coming from Japanese developer Tango Gameworks and American publisher Bethesda, don't miss a beat with Hi-Fi Rush. Hi-Fi Rush threw us all for a loop when it was shadow-dropped on 25th Jan. Available for Xbox Series X|S and PC, today we'll be looking at the PC version. Hi-Fi Rush is included with Gamepass and will require 20GB of space. For those who wish to purchase it, it will cost £29.99/$29.99 on the Microsoft Store. All of your trebles are dead and gone! Hi-Fi Rush was a massive departure for developer Tango Gameworks who are usually known for their more spooky titles, such as The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo. All things considered, the question has to be asked why they didn't do it sooner. Seriously, this game is brilliant! At this point, the combat rhythm game isn't a...

Toy Soldiers HD – Switch Review

Released on Nintendo Switch NYE '22, Toy Soldiers HD is an overhaul of the easily recognisable 2010 tower defense game by Signal Studios. Published by Accelerate Games, Toy Soldiers HD supports handheld, tabletop and TV mode. Toy Soldiers HD - Construct your Defences Carefully I was a big fan of Toy Soldiers: War Chest back in the Xbox 360 days however I haven't had the pleasure of playing an HD version of Toy Soldiers so far or on the Nintendo Switch. Let's get the band playing and move onto the battlefield! Gameplay There is something quite nostalgic when it comes to the Toy Soldiers franchise. Admittedly I have been so busy that there have been some old classics that I have simply forgotten to go back to.  As Toy Soldiers HD loads you are greeted by a haunting male voice accompa...

OmegaBot – PS5 Review

Over time games have become more complex and take more people to make. Indie developers increasingly find it hard to get their games into the limelight and earn returns on their hard work. OmegaBot is a 2D action platformer that harkens back to the days when games were made by much smaller teams, in much shorter time, yet still captivated us with the most important element - Gameplay. OmegaBot - Mankind's last hope Developed by solo indie developer Simon Carny and initially released on PC in June 2022, the game arrives now on home consoles. Available digitally on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch the Red Art Games published title also has a physical release on PlayStation and Switch.
