The Speedrunning Community Have Done It Again

Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2022 has ended its week-long 24-hour speedrunning marathon, raising a total of $3.01 million raised for Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières. The event was held June 26-July 3 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington Minneapolis South.

It’s crazy to think that since the first speedrunning event was held way back in 2010. The accumulative total is now over $40 million. All in the name of charity as well for the likes of Doctors Without Borders, Prevent Cancer Foundation, Malala Fund, Organization for Autism Research, and CARE.

The next Games Done Quick event will be Flame Fatales, an all-women speedrunning showcase taking place online August 21-27. Where it’s the ladies of the speedrunning community to show the boys how it’s really done. With some exceptional runners already well known and some runners that fly under the radar. But it’s their turn to shine and all while raising money for charity.

SGDQ 2022 Raises $3.01 Million For Doctors Without Borders. Some of the runs in this year’s SGDQ were unbelievable and just too good to miss. Whatever you do, don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
