With only one month left till the online services for Pocket Camp end, Nintendo has announced its plans for a new, paid version. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will offer the same experience to players, with new updates and features. Players will still be a campground manager who invites different animals to their camp. And of course you’ll still have to complete tasks, increase friendships as well as fish, craft, and catch insects!
Pocket Camp Complete – New and Improved
The new features include the introduction of leaf tokens, which replace leaf tickets and can be earned in-game. There will also be a new location where players can watch K.K. Slider perform every day at 7 pm. A monthly subscriptions will also offer a combination of features. Whilst a new friend system whereby players have to collect digital camper cards.
Meanwhile discontinued features include leaf tickets, all the monthly Pocket Camp Club subscriptions, and playing with friends online. This is due to the game no longer having any micro-transactions or in-app purchases as well as no longer requiring a constant internet connection.
The app will have events planned for the next year, with all events set to repeat on a 4-year cycle. This means that players will be able to play the game at their pace, without having to rush. It also means that players who missed out on past limited edition items will now have the chance to earn them through the item catalog.
Players of the current app will be happy to know that the majority of their saved data can be transferred to the new app. The transferable data includes character level, bells, animal friendship levels, inventory/craft items, saved outfits, layouts, and anything stored in the Warehouse. Unfortunately Leaf tickets will not be transferred. To do this players must have their apps linked to a Nintendo account before the End of Online services date. That exact date? November 28th, 2024.
