This new cooler builds on HYTE’s design and cooling innovations with increased performance capabilities thanks to its thicker size.  All whilst offering more personalization options thanks to HYTE’s flagship Nexus 2.0 software. But before we get into the details, let’s take a look at this beauty.

Features

The THICC Q80 Trio is designed to fit the HYTE Y70 and Y70 Touch Infinite cases and many more. We aren’t kidding when we say this is a beast. The heat exchanger itself measures 360mm long and 52mm thick for maximum cooling capacity. There is also a larger, second-generation copper cold plate with a revised liquid flow path too. This furthers the temperature control and simultaneously improving socket compatibility.

The THICC Q80 Trio is also pre-installed with HYTE’s new THICC FP12 Trio fans. These don’t just sound fancy, they’re an impressive bit of kit. Using an embedded thermal sensor these fans have intelligent speed control. The fiberglass reinforced LCP fans deliver up to a staggering 105.8 CFM in airflow, and 8.14mm H2O of static pressure.

Mounted above the cold plate, on an improved floating hinge design, is HYTE’s eye-catching 720p 60Hz 5” Ultraslim IPS Display.  This 42-Pixel ARGB screen has a full 180 degrees of rotation too. Meaning you can adjust it to exactly where you want it.

Nexus 2.0

HYTE’s 2.0 Nexus software has had an overhaul bringing many quality of life improvements to both the THICC Q60 and the THICC Trio Q80:

  • Unlimited screen personalization. Users can choose to display real-time performance data or any media you may wish to display. Including gifs and multi-sensor displays! Easily swap these using the app-based screen switching customisation options.
  • Intelligent system-wide cooling control. Using Nexus 2.0 users can enable the connection of up-to 36 daisy-chained fans. Not forgetting to activate universal fan control via the motherboard’s PWM headers.
  • Immersive RGB lighting. HYTE’s integration of the OpenRGB SDK into Nexus 2.0 means effects can be synced across over 1,800 devices. The THICC Q80 Trio also comes with an included LS10 light strip that adds an extra dimension of ambient RGB lighting.

Pre-Order Time

You can pre-order the THICC Q80 Trio on the HYTE website for an an MSRP of $319.99. Shipping is estimated to be April for the white variant, but fans of a sleek black hardware will have to wait until May for theirs!
