If you’re British, then you can be forgiven for not knowing who Renovation Products are. That’s what makes this announcement exciting. Renovation Products were a US publishing company in the 90s that would publish Telnet Japan’s games, which in effect never made it to European soil. So what Blaze, the creator of the Evercade has done, is take twelve 16-bit retro games that have never been released before in Europe, and popped them all onto one cartridge! Some unusual are rare imports make up the list, so let’s see what the Renovation Collection 1 has to offer:

  • Arcus Odyssey
  • Beast Wrestler
  • Dino Land
  • El Viento
  • Exile
  • Final Zone
  • Gaieres
  • Grenada
  • Sol-Deace
  • Traysia
  • Valis: The Fantasm Soldier
  • Valis 3

Fair enough Sol-Deace was released in Europe as Sol-Feace on the Sega Mega-CD and I did play that, but what a list! With a decent mix from JRPGs to shoot ’em ups, there is something for everyone. This will be the 23rd cartridge for the Evercade which will make the complete library of over 300 games. As usual, it will come in a clamshell case with a manual.

Epic library of officially licensed games

Fun fact: if you add up the value of the games in the Renovation Collection 1, that would be over £1000 if you were to buy them complete in box.

The Renovation Collection 1 is due for release in early 2022 with pre-orders being taken from November 2021. Will you be adding this to your Evercade collection, I know I will be. Let us know in the comments below.
