WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – PS5 Review

Earlier this year, I played the preview for WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, a new souls-like game. Developed by Leenzee and published by 505 Games. Now, I’ll finally get the chance to step in and explore the world they’ve created. Has this one been on your list? If so, then you’ll be able to pick it up on PlayStation for £44.99, or for £49.99 will land you the Digital Deluxe Edition. That gets you a couple more outfits and weapons, as well as some skill point upgrades. If you want to know my previous thoughts on WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers’ preview, click here. Warning: GIFs used might contain flashing images. Fate is such a hard thing to avoid. Like I mentioned in my preview, we play as the titular character, Wuchang. A young woman who awakens in a cave with no recollection of what has pas...

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business – PS5 Review

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is a standalone expansion to the sleeper hit RoboCop: Rogue City — and if you missed that one, you can check out our review right here. French publisher Nacon and Polish developer Teyon team up once again, picking up right after the events of the aforementioned game. The expansion launched worldwide on 17th July 2025 and is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This review covers the PS5 version, priced at £24.99 / $29.99. So, does it deliver high-octane justice, or should we toss it on the scrap heap? Gunplay and Gunmetal: RoboCop Returns in Style Unfinished Business wastes no time in getting to the action as Mercenaries have destroyed the police precinct and stolen RoboCop’s chair, the final piece needed to control OCP’s sys...

Star Overdrive – PS5 Review

Are you ready for an adrenaline-fuelled, high-speed adventure on an alien world? Star Overdrive, developed by Caracal Games, is an action-adventure title set in a sprawling open world. Star Overdrive was originally announced last year as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Now, the game is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with this review focusing on the PS5 version. With several fun-looking gameplay elements and a genuinely striking visual style, is this the next must-play indie title? Who Needs a Sword and Shield When You Can Have a Keytar and Hoverboard? With Star Overdrive already available, I'd love to get your thoughts on the game if you've played it! Why not leave a comment and let us know how you found it? But, for now, it's on to the review! Story Our h...

Fruitbus – PS5 Review

Back in October of last year, I wrote a review for the PC launch of Fruitbus and gave it our Gold Award. The game has now released on consoles so I decided to hop back in the driver's seat of Krillbite Studios' game to see what changes had been made. Fruitbus is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X as well as Steam. Today I'm taking a look at the PS5 version. Fruit really does grow on trees! And bushes! And in the dirt! Fruitbus is currently on the PlayStation store for £13.49 if you're a PS Plus member or £14.99 for non-members. But just how does the console version play? Let's find out. Gameplay Fruitbus is still a game about meeting characters from your Grandma's life, foraging for fruit and creating delicious recipes for your customers....

Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game – PS5 Review

There's no better way to describe parkour than the word "cool". Perhaps not the most eloquent way to describe something, but leaping from rooftop to rooftop whilst performing aerial acrobatics is just bloody cool. Unfortunately, there aren't nearly enough games based around the sport, and the ones we do have aren't too impressive. Thankfully, developer MLMEDIA has just released version 1.0 of Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game! Initially released into Early Access on Steam in May 2024, the game is now available for consoles. Today, we'll be reviewing the PlayStation 5 version, although it's also available on Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. With the average Steam review score sitting at "Overwhelmingly Positive", I was certainly optimistic about the console iteration! Flip, Ju...

Zombie Cure Lab – PS5 Review

I've played a tonne of zombie video games over the years, from open-world titles to playing as a zombie itself! However, I don't think I've ever come across anything like Zombie Cure Lab. A base building colony sim game that allows you to recruit zombies? Sounds interesting! Developed by Thera Bytes and published by Aerosoft, Zombie Cure Lab was originally released on Steam in Early Access in December 2022. Now, over two and a half years later, we have the full release on consoles, with this review focusing on the PlayStation 5 version. But, how well does it translate to consoles? Playing an UNO Reverse Card on the Zombie Virus When the world is overrun by zombies, all hope seems lost. Thankfully, it isn't all doom and gloom, as those smarty-pants scientists have concocted a cure that...

1f y0u’re a gh0st ca11 me here! – PS5 Review

1f y0u’re a gh0st ca11 me here! is not only difficult to type, but also a new visual novel from Furoshiki Lab. It's live now on the PlayStation Store for £9.99. Disclaimer: This is not your usual text-based trip through Japanese school life. Instead, we have a story set somewhere between heaven and hell. It’s your job to work the help desk, receiving calls from lost souls in need of direction. Sounds normal? It isn’t. Who ya gonna call? To play 1f y0u’re a gh0st ca11 me here! is to experience one of the strangest video games ever created. Are you ready for a lore-laden trip to the netherworld? Then come with me. Just bring some biscuits and tea. This is going to be stressful. Gameplay Unlike many visual novels that sacrifice gameplay for story beats, 1f y0u’re a gh0st ca11 me he...

Nice Day for Fishing – PS5 Review

Viva La Dirt League is a YouTube comedy skit channel that I was admittedly unfamiliar with prior to this review. But, with over 7 million subscribers and more than a decade making videos, they're clearly a popular group. Now, with the help of developer FusionPlay and publisher Team17, they're making their very first videogame based on their Epic NPC Man series: Nice Day for Fishing! Despite not knowing the YouTubers beforehand, I've always enjoyed a good fishing mini-game in many titles. So, what could be better than a full game based around it? If you're a fan of VLDL then we'd love to know your thoughts on the game in the comments below. Or better yet, send me some video recommendations! Mornin'! Nice Day for Fishing, ain't it? Welcome to the world of Azerim! This world is full of m...

F1 25 – PS5 Review

F1 25 left the paddock on the 30th May, I previewed the game, which you can read here, and I was fortunate enough to receive a code for the Iconic Edition with all the assorted extra content. This review focuses on the PlayStation 5 version of the annual racing series. So, the big question: Has Codemasters delivered a podium finish, or has it crashed into the barrier? Pitt Stop The game includes all the modes you know and love, plus some extra Hollywood action. Tied in with the upcoming movie, you can play scenarios from the film — these unlock on June 30th, five days after the film’s UK release. The characters are available to use in other modes; it was very strange seeing Tyler Durden/Benjamin Button/Jesse James walking around the paddock. The Hollywood like drama doesn’t stop with ...

Long-time cat lover? Or hoping that the Cat Distribution System chooses you next? Then the Spoonful of Wonders narrative adventure game, Copycat, may be for you! The PC version was released in September 2024, which was reviewed at the time by our resident writer Alex. Copycat has now jumped onto other systems, with the PS5 version releasing on 29th May 2025. And that's what I'll be reviewing today! Is Copycat paw-some? Is the PS5 version any different to the PC version? Let's find out! Gameplay Although the game focuses on our feline friend, the journey begins by introducing you to our human protagonist, Olive. Olive is an elderly lady who lives alone in the Australian suburbs. As highlighted by the cat adoption centre employee, Olive has just lost her furry friend and has come to ...
