Clunky Hero – Playstation 4 Review

Clunky Hero is the latest wacky platform hit from Estonian Developer Chaos Monger Studio. Combining platforming, Metroidvania, and RPG elements with tons of humour. This offers a strong storyline that will appeal to gamers who enjoy platformers. It's a fun game where you can talk to characters, do side quests, buy and sell items, and swap weapons and accessories, all the whilst laughing at itself. When You Order Armor From Wish Clunky Hero appealed to me when I first saw the trailer. Its story just sounded utterly bonkers and the narration tied everything into a lovely parcel. Available for both PC and Consoles (Playstation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox) Gameplay A 2D platformer that sets out the story straight away, your wife has been kidnapped and turned into some "duck-faced woman" ...

Back in the early PlayStation days Coolboarders and SSX were staples of a lot of gamers on the platform. They were known for easy pick up and play controls with fun arcade gameplay. Enter Shredders, an indie title that aims to strike a perfect balance (pun most definitely intended) between arcade play and realism. Shredders... Drop In! Created by FoamPunch, a joint venture between game dev studios I-Illusions and Let It Roll (The Snowboard Game 2018), the game is available on PS5, Steam and Xbox Gamepass. OmegaBot – PS5 Review

Over time games have become more complex and take more people to make. Indie developers increasingly find it hard to get their games into the limelight and earn returns on their hard work. OmegaBot is a 2D action platformer that harkens back to the days when games were made by much smaller teams, in much shorter time, yet still captivated us with the most important element - Gameplay. OmegaBot - Mankind's last hope Developed by solo indie developer Simon Carny and initially released on PC in June 2022, the game arrives now on home consoles. Available digitally on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch the Red Art Games published title also has a physical release on PlayStation and Switch. Need For Speed Unbound PS5 Review

Need for Speed Unbound is the latest in the NFS franchise and is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S as well as PC. Developed by Criterion Software, famed for their Burnout games, and published by EA, will Unbound be a winner or one to drive by? NFS Unbound - The World is your Canvas With a bit of a twist when it comes to graphics, I know that many have been a bit wary of how this iteration of NFS looks. The ultimate question is a simple one; Does it work and play well? Gameplay While Criterion has made some of my all-time favourite arcade racing games such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Burnout Paradise (A title I have somehow managed to buy since its launch in 2008 on almost every platform along the way!) NFS Unbound has seemingly ventured into a very vibrant and graffiti-cultu...

Saturnalia – PS5 Review

Saturnalia comes from the creative minds at Santa Ragione. It is inspired and influenced by the folklore of Sardinia, Italy. This survivor-horror adventure may have you lost in its labyrinth of a village, the structure which changes every time all your characters die. Twists and Turns Await In Saturnalia Seeing the trailers for Saturnalia, those slightly older gamers will struggle not to notice the familiar art style. My mind first jumped to the music video by the Norwegian band A-ha which used the same watercolour style. It grabbed me straight away as I was interested in how this would work in a game setting. Gameplay Saturnalia is a mix of Survival Horror and Adventure. The quaint village of Gravoi is the setting for our four protagonists. Gravoi is celebrating its own Saturnalia...

Swordship – PS5 Review

I love when indie developers put a fresh take on beloved game genres. That's exactly what Digital Kingdoms have delivered with Swordship. Dubbed a "dodge'em up" this, the fourth title from the Swiss team is their most ambitious game yet! Bringing a Swordship to a Gunfight Set in a world where most of the lands have become submerged by the seas, most of humanity has moved to three huge underwater cities. While these cities bustle with trade through a constant flow of containers filled with goods, there are those banished from the cities that struggle to survive in the remaining barren and inhospitable lands. Rising up against the big cities, skilled pilots use lightning-fast ships to steal some of the containers and deliver them to the banished. You are one such pilot. Gamep...
