In what will be the last season of Call of Duty: Warzone, before the release of Warzone 2.0, Last Stand sees a whole host of classic Call of Duty villains come to the islands.
Launching on the 24th August, the Last Stand update will be bringing major changes to all three gaming experiences; Warzone, Vanguard Multiplayer and Zombies.
Here we are just touching on what is coming to Warzone.
The last update removed the flowing rivers from Caldera, well now thanks to some ominous seismic activity, lava is flowing and rocks dropping from the sky. The trailer video released earlier this week showed this was no natural disaster, so is this pointing towards how Warzone will come to end come November?
A smaller limited time mode Operation: Last Call sees you battle it out as the lava flows around you. Inspired by Search and Destroy, you can choose to defend Caldera by defusing bombs or sabotage it by detonating them!
There is also an updated volcanic themed gulag inspired by a classic multiplayer map
Other map changes include changes to the weather and lighting. With Warzone 2.0 not far around the corner it will be interesting to see if in game weather changes come to the game, which could really spice up how people play.
As with all warzone updates there are other small updates to weapons, in game events; such as the Doomsday Station, in game tactical items; Supply Box UAV and Rage Serum
New Crossover
After months of rumours it has been confirmed that characters from Gerard Ways acclaimed comic book series Umbrella Academy will be arriving in both Warzone and Vanguard. The Cha Cha and Hazel bundles come equipped with tracers, but expect to potentially see other characters from the series pop up as there is an in season event to look forward to called Heroes vs Villains.
Heroes vs Villains sees you choose a side and then scavenge supply boxes on killing your opponents. The winning team receive unique Weapon Blueprints as well as the chance of calling cards, charms, watches and more.
Call of Duty: Warzone Last Stand is available for free from the 24th August.
