Moon Mystery – PC Review

Moon Mystery is a sci-fi adventure FPS available now for PC by indie developer Cosmoscouts. It is a steady mix of gunplay, puzzles, and exploration across more than just a moon. Published by indie.io (HumanitZ, Coromon) and successfully backed via Kickstarter in May of 2023, you can pick it up over on Steam today. There are also plans for it to be available via GOG at a later date. That's no Moon! With a title like Moon Mystery, one expects to spend a fair amount of time on the moon. I'm here to inform you that in this game, that is not the case. Are there any games that come to your mind when thinking how a simple title held a larger world than you expected within? I'd have to say this is definitely one of them for me. Gameplay In Moon Mystery, you set out to discover a way back home ...

Death of the Reprobate – PC Review

Death of the Reprobate is the follow up game to The Procession to Calvary from solo indie developer Joe Richardson, and the final game within the Immortal John Triptych. Those unfamiliar with Richardson's work and who love Monty Python style humour really should rectify this immediately. And yes I am saying this because I am biased! The games are literal works of art. Renaissance art to be precise. However, if you're of a sensitive disposition this is not the review, nor game for you. Nudity, Vulgarity and Renaissance Artwork I have been a fan of Joe Richardson's works since I stumbled upon The Procession To Calvary during the good old Covid lockdowns of 2020. With nothing to do aside staying in my house working and parenting a toddler, I slowly lost my mind. Giving me the perfect mindse...

Wilmot Works It Out – PC Review

When Wilmot Works It Out was announced in August 2024, it was a pleasant surprise. I've played a few great games from both Finji and Hollow Ponds, so I expect a quality offering when either is involved in a game. I thoroughly enjoyed Wilmot's Warehouse and am excited to return to his world. This time we join Wilmot outside of his day job. When taking a break from being the world's greatest warehouse organiser, Wilmot likes to unwind by organising puzzles - talk about a busman's holiday. Come For The Puzzles, Stay For The Vibes Subscriptions are everywhere. Hello Fresh this, Loot Crate that. Even Wilmot's alternate version of the UK can't escape them.  Wilmot himself is a proud member of the Puzzle Club; a bi-weekly puzzle subscription delivered straight to his door. As Wilmot, it ...

Hallows Hill: The Online Escape Room Experience – PC Review

Recently, the TC gang received a strange email, inviting us to assemble and go to Hallows Hill. Intrigued, we rallied our toughest members and ventured across the digital world to this spooky abandoned house. Hallows Hill is no ordinary game. Requiring a mere web browser and the technical capability to be able to share your screen with your team of up to 6, you are good to go. Immersive Team-Based Horror Fun! The developers, Wolf Escape Games, have a couple of escape games under their belt. How would we find our foray into Hallows Hill? More importantly, would we all survive? Gameplay I must say, I haven't played a game like this yet. Yes, I have taken part in actual escape rooms and have been intrigued by the puzzles, both physical and mental.
