A dark Metroidvania fairytale that features a young boy named Ogden attempting to hold on to what makes him human. The Guise was released on March 16th of this year. Titanium Hound – PC Review

I got to look at the self-published indie title Titanium Hound created by Red Spot Sylphina. A 2D action platformer with cyberpunk style pixel art released back in October 2022 for; Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and the platform I played on Steam. You can grab this for £11.39 or on sale for £5.69 from the Steam store. A different take on Robocop I was surprised to see this game go under everyone's radar as I couldn't find many gameplay videos on the whole game. The visuals look great, and the story seemed promising. I don't play a lot of 2D platformers, but I love the idea of being able to be a Police Officer and taking down criminals in a giant mech. Gameplay Players will play as Grace Alarie, a Special Police Force Officer who's pulled into a conspiracy involving the government and ...

Clive ‘N’ Wrench – Switch Review

There are few gaming genres more nostalgic and fondly remembered than 3D platformers. Games like Banjo-Kazooie, Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank were hits with the popular hero/sidekick or dynamic duo formula. For the majority of gamers born pre-2000, these were a huge part of their virtual journeys. And like a cosy comfort blanket, they hold warm memories begging to be revisited. Clive ‘N’ Wrench from Dinosaur Bytes Studio, published by Numskull Games, looks to resurrect those fuzzy platforming memories. And in many ways, indeed it does. But it also revives some memories of 3D platforming that we’d rather forget. In an anthropomorphic animated world, the tyrannical Dr Daucus looks to conquer space and time. To facilitate this, he has stolen Professor Nancy Merricarp’s time trav...

Published by Graffiti Games, Elderand by Mantra and Sinergia Games is a pixel-art Metroidvania platformer/RPG that pits you against gruesome Lovecraft-inspired foes and terrifying bosses. But your ship is doomed to sink and you have washed ashore with little more than the soaked clothes on your back. Hi-Fi Rush – PC Review

Coming from Japanese developer Tango Gameworks and American publisher Bethesda, don't miss a beat with Hi-Fi Rush. Hi-Fi Rush threw us all for a loop when it was shadow-dropped on 25th Jan. For those who wish to purchase it, it will cost £29.99/$29.99 on the Microsoft Store. All of your trebles are dead and gone! Hi-Fi Rush was a massive departure for developer Tango Gameworks who are usually known for their more spooky titles, such as The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo. All things considered, the question has to be asked why they didn't do it sooner. Seriously, this game is brilliant! At this point, the combat rhythm game isn't a...
