Well, it’s that time of year again. Gamescom 2022 is here and at Thumb Culture we’ve rounded up the opening night best news and future releases.

2022 Still Has A lot Left To Give

Here at Thumb Culture, we’ve been glued to stream and intend on bringing you the exclusives as their announced. So prepare yourself for Day 1s activities because there were some belters announced. So let’s get it started shall we?

DuelSense Edge Wireless Controller PS5

Controllers for the Playstation are regarded as being the best ever created and the latest edition to the Playstation 5s arsenal is the announcement of the DuelSense Edge Wireless Controller. A controller where you can customize your performance. Sounds good to us.

Dune: Awakening

Set in the Dune Universe. Dune: Awakening finally got a trailer from developers Funcom. Huge expectations are on the line here but it has already piqued the interest of its fandom with the game being an MMO. Plus the beta registration is already up so what are you waiting for?

Lords Of The Fallen 2022

A game that has been 8 years in the making. Lords Of The Fallen is technically a reboot/remake as the original plans for a sequel were scrapped but with a soul-borne system and the usual dark, gritty atmosphere from the original game. It’s surely going to be a bit of a surprise hit.

New Tales From The Borderlands

Well, it’s finally here. This was the one that everyone was expecting and fans got their wish. Released on the 21st of October. You just know that it’s going to be ripe with comedy, jokes, heartbreak and nonstop action. Don’t believe me? Check out the trailer for yourself.

Sonic Frontiers

Finally, the Blue Blur has a release date with Sonic Frontiers getting a release on November 8th. Serous hype has been going around the Thumb Culture team about this as some gameplay and details on the story were finally announced with an epic trailer.

Killer Clowns From Outer Space

Ok so hands up if you were expecting this. The cult 80s horror classic gets its own game. From the developers of the Friday The 13th Video Game. It’s the same kinda premice where 3 players play as the Killer Clowns and they hunt down 4 other players.

Dead Island 2

For what feels like forever. We finally got a release date for Dead Island 2 at Gamescom 2022. Due out in February 2023. The reveal also gave us a glimpse at some of the gameplay it has to offer.
