Forge and Fight! – Bonkers Online Brawler

Forge and Fight! is pure madness, coupled with limitless customisation possibilities for your choice of weaponry. I’ve had some good fun with the game during its Early Access, however, there could be some improvements made to bring it up to it’s deserved glory.  Developed by Flamebait Games, it’s a ludicrous multiplayer online brawler, that you can get your hands on over at Steam. If you’re looking for a light-hearted game to drop in to and thrash out, then this may be the one for you! Gameplay There are two modes at your disposal, either the online arena which pits you against your adversaries in team-based combat, which includes categories like, last team standing, brawl, push the cart and capture the zone. In this game mode, you’ll be presented with random upgrade choices at the be...

GameSir F4 Falcon – The Must Have Accessory For Your Mobile FPS Arsenal

The F4 Falcon mobile controller instantly impressed. With it’s light-weight and foldable design, limited moving parts, clickable buttons, and cushioning pads to house your precious device, you can tell it’s been built with the user in mind and for serious hours of gaming involved. GameSir has created a masterpiece that will surely impress both casual and avid Mobile gamers. Design The F4 Falcon has been designed from the ground up to promote all aspects of the mobile accessory with a limited compromise for the end-user. Some key standout elements that came to my mind throughout my playtime with it:  There are minimal moving parts: there are no pads to replicate a thumb press, instead, it’s initiated directly from the trigger press which reduces the time to react drastically - during...

Rain World: An intensifying survival platformer experience!

Rain World is a gorgeous and well-developed fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic world. You are the endearing part-slug and part-cat hero of the story. You’ve just fallen to the depths after attempting to escape the flood with your friends and family. Now you need to defy the odds and find a way back to your family. Developed by Vigeocult. It is an intense platformer, that’s available on Steam, Playstation and Nintendo Switch. It seems like a beautiful addition to the Nintendo Switch library of games and will keep you well entertained on the go. Gameplay You’ll need to decide if you want to play the role of Monk, Survivor or Hunter (although this isn’t available from the beginning). Each role acts as a different level of difficulty, so starting out as a Monk is a good place to beg...

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story Review – Is There Enough Depth?

Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story initially looked to have been bold in delivery, however under-delivered on both RPG and strategy elements. However, upon further play, I realised that my initial thoughts were a tad harsh. If you look past the weakness of the building elements of the game and focus on the RPG side, it’s a much-improved experience. Developed by Agate and published by Pqube. It is an action RPG, with a dabble into the building genre. Recently launched onto the Nintendo Switch, Steam and PS4. I’ve not played the variations on PC or PS4, however, I can’t help but feel consoles got the raw end of the deal with this game, due to some of the control limitations. Gameplay You begin the game being notified that you’re going to become the new Principle of Valthira Academy, as y...

The Legend of Evil Review – Evil Dresses in a Suit!

It’s ok to root for the bad guy, at least this is what Legend of Evil is telling us. Your job, as Bill, is to bring home the apocalypse, in style, with a dark legion at your disposal. Be careful though, being evil isn’t as easy as you’d expect! Gameplay Legend of Evil is a single player, side-scrolling strategy tower-offense game and comes armed with two games modes: Campaign Mode and Rogue Conquest Mode. Having played many a tower defense game, it’s a nice spin to instead be playing a tower offense game! Coupled with having a time limit, as well as it being played as a side-scroller vs. the typical top-down. It adds an incredible dimension to the genre, something that boasts very well on the Nintendo Switch. The Campaign Mode is incredibly challenging and if like me, you’re not ...
