Update

People have asked if there’s any news on an upgrade path for those who own the originals.

Unfortunately, there is not. You will need to buy the AYCE edition.

A representative at Team17 has told us the following:

as All You Can Eat is a full remake of both games and all of the DLC form both Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2, plus the Peckish Rises DLC, players will need to purchase Overcooked! All You Can Eat if they want to play the remade versions of the games.

The frantic cooking arcade games return comes very very soon indeed, so let’s take a look at what’s coming.

We’re told by Team17 the following:

Monday, 15th February 2020 – Team17 and Ghost Town Games have today announced that Overcooked! All You Can Eat will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Xbox One on 23rd March. First launched on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation©5 in 2020, Overcooked! All You Can Eat plates up all 200 + levels from both games, including all DLC, seven new levels, and a brand-new assist mode, fully remade in up to 4K, and running at a smooth 60fps (30 frames per second on Nintendo Switch). Cross-platform multiplayer will also be made available for chefs playing on all platforms in a free post-launch update.

Team17 have also said that there will be three new and exclusive chefs as well as the entire backlog of 80 chefs, each having a new alternate skin variant. Also for a limited time, you will be able to download The Muppet’s Swedish Chef. Free for everyone who plays All You Can Eat.

The All You Can Eat edition also contains new accessibility options as well as an assist mode. The assist mode allows you to:

  • Increase level times
  • Boost scores awarded for each meal
  • Lengthen recipe times
  • The ability to turn off order expiration

Accessibility options include:

  • Colour-blind friendly chef indicators
  • A scalable user interface
  • The ability to enable dyslexia-friendly text
