SD Gundam Battle Alliance – PS5 Review

Alright, I have a confession to make. Despite Gundam existing for over 40 years, I've never actually experienced anything from this franchise before writing my review. This gives SD Gundam Battle Alliance an excellent opportunity to introduce a total Gundam newbie into an extensive franchise. Let's hope this newest entry can successfully condense content pulled from over 4 decades of potential history. Welcome to "G" Universe Let's be honest, giant robots going up against other big robots will always be cool, no matter what age we may be. Gameplay Initially, an unknown pilot is warped into the ‘G:Universe’, a simulated world that stores every important battle in the Gundan mythos. Their ally Juno Astarte is also along for the ride. After a few battles, the duo also gets introduced ...

Arcade Paradise Launch Party

To coincide with the release of Arcade Paradise, Wired Productions hosted a dual press day and evening launch party. I was lucky enough to snag an invite to both! Before I start, I want to quickly mention the venue itself. Both events took place at the historic 26 Leake Street hidden below Waterloo Station. What was once a collection of mere railway arches is now a bustling hub of urban creativity. It even has a dedicated event space for 1200+ attendees. This is where the events took place. A Retro Paradise All that sounds great but finding the actual place I needed to be was a tad difficult. Gamedec – Switch Review

First released back in 2021 for the PC, Gamedec has made the jump to Nintendo Switch in 2022. Toted as a non-combat cyberpunk RPG, it stars a futuristic private detective who investigates crimes inside virtual worlds. This rather meta concept is based on the series of short stories by Polish author Marcin Przybyłek. He also took on various roles such as consultant and scriptwriter during development. With that being said, take one last drag of your cyber cigarette and climb into your virtual couch to solve some crimes. Gamedec - Neon Non-violence. Life is tough in Warsaw at the end of the 22nd century. The natural environment outside has mutated and become extremely hostile to humanity. Trapped inside vast fortified cities for their own protection, many inhabitants escape into Virtual, a...

Gibbon: Beyond The Trees Switch Review

Developed by Broken Rules, Gibbon: Beyond The Trees is a hand-drawn adventure game featuring three adorable gibbons as they travel through lands unknown. I first played the start of this at WASD Live in London, and it was one of the stand-out titles for me there. I’m very happy to finally finish it and write a review. It is currently available on Apple Arcade, Steam, Nintendo Switch and itch. Gibbon: Beyond The Trees - Move over Tarzan! Beyond the aforementioned cute and fuzzy lesser apes, this is a game focusing on the ecological challenges that gibbons face in the wild. Witnessed from the perspective of Pink (no, not the singer), Beyond The Trees doesn't shy away from showing the destructive force that the human race sometimes is. It highlights issues such as deforestation, poaching an...
