In today’s Pokémon Presents, we got a few updates on current and upcoming titles, in-game events and an early look at the 10th Generation! Were your expectations met? Tell me in the comments! Let’s buckle up and get into it.
Game Music Collection
To celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, the Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue Game Music Collection: Game Boy Jukebox has been announced. It is, as the name suggests, a mini Game Boy-style jukebox that comes with 45 swappable song cartridges. It is available for purchase today, February 27th, at the Pokémon Center in the US, Canada and UK.
Pokémon TCG
A new Pokémon TCG set is coming in 2026. The trailer showed cards from various eras, hinting at this being another reprint set, similar to Evolutions, with Mew and Mewtwo as the main features. No release date has been set yet, but it is confirmed for a simultaneous global release some time this year.
Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO is turning 10! To celebrate both this and the franchise’s anniversary, the “Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out” event will run from March 7th to March 9th. It will feature a “huge range” of returning Pokémon that have appeared in the game so far.
On top of that, a two-day event, “Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos“, will start tomorrow, February 28th. Use the promo code GOTOURKALOS to unlock a Timed Research quest that will allow you to encounter one of the Gen 6 starters of your choice.
Pokémon Masters EX
To mark its 6.5-year anniversary, Pokémon Masters EX has added Red (specifically from Pokémon Red and Blue) and Pikachu to the game! They will be followed by Florian & Ogerpon on February 28th and Juliana & Terapagos on March 2nd.

Pokémon Café ReMix
On February 28th, Pokémon Café ReMix is beginning a large roundup featuring every regional starter Pokémon, which you can earn special brooch outfits for by completing event missions. New chef outfits, additional Pokémon, and special café decorations will also continue to appear.
Pokémon Sleep
The mythical Pokémon Mew can be encountered in Pokémon Sleep with a special Mew Mission that is starting tonight! The event will last from February 27th to March 30th. In it, you will need to take as many Snapshot Surprise photos with Mew in order to progress through the missions and conduct more detailed research.
Pokémon UNITE
The Legendary Birds are joining the Pokémon Unite roster! You can earn their licenses through a series of sequential events, with the Zapdos joining the fray today! Additionally, Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr have been confirmed to arrive later this year. An Electrode Volleyball world tour has also been announced.
Pokémon TCG Pocket
Pokémon TCG Pocket has launched the new “Paldean Wonders” expansion, featuring Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
A “30 Days of Gifts” login event is also live now through June 27th, offering enough pack hourglasses to open up to 30 booster packs, as well as other rewards. Players can also complete daily missions to earn exclusive 30th-anniversary themed accessories, including a special playmat, binder, and display board.
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
The GameCube classic Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is coming to the Nintendo Classics library this March. It will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 owners with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen
Following their announcement last week, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are now available to download on the Nintendo eShop for both Switch 1 and Switch 2. It has also been confirmed that Pokémon HOME compatibility is on the way, allowing you to deposit your Pokémon from these titles, though you won’t be able to retrieve them after. No date for the HOME update has been set yet.
Pokémon Champions
Pokémon Champions finally has a release date! It will release on the Nintendo Switch in April, followed by a mobile version later this year. If you download the game early, you can claim a free Dragonite from your in-game mailbox. Players who deposit Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, or Eternal Flower Floette into Pokémon HOME and bring them to Champions as visitors can get their respective Mega Stones as well.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC
Mega Garchomp Z has arrived in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC. You can now claim a Mystery Gift to unlock a mission in which you will face a Mega Garchomp Z in a Hyperspace Distortion. Once you defeat it, you will receive the Mega Stone as a reward.
Pokémon Pokopia
Pokémon Pokopia is releasing next week on March 5th, and a couple of new features were just revealed. You can meet Stereo Rotom, a new form of Rotom that has taken over a music player and lets you blast some tunes while exploring, and Chef Dente, a special Greedent that teaches you how to cook for yourself and your Pokémon friends.
The new four-player multiplayer lets you visit your friends’ towns to build together and play games like Hide and Seek, where you can even transform into different objects, like a palm tree, to hide! If you buy the game before January 31st, 2027, you will be able to claim a free Ditto rug as an early purchase bonus.
Pokémon Winds and Waves
As the highlight of today’s Presents, we got a first look at the 10th generation of Pokémon: Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, releasing exclusively for the Switch 2 in 2027. Not much has been revealed, but these titles seem to feature a stunning-looking open-world where you can explore both on land and underwater!
We also got a nice look at the new starters:
- Browt, the Grass type “Bean Chick” Pokémon
- Pombon, the Fire type “Puppy” Pokémon
- Gecqua, the Water type “Water Gecko” Pokémon

While there weren’t many announcements for new games or spin-offs, it was still nice to see the Generation 10 reveal, especially with its step up in graphics.
