Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection – Now On The Switch

And here we are, finally a decent game to be given the ol’ “reboot” treatment. Ghosts ‘N Goblins Resurrection is the latest in the series to be released by Capcom. It has released on Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop.

Prepare to armor up and brave the Demon Realm in Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, available now for digital download from Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch™. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is a modern reboot of the iconic Capcom series Ghosts ‘n Goblins, complete with charming storybook-like graphics and challenging action platforming gameplay. The newest entry in the legendary franchise finds the fearless knight Arthur in a haunting new adventure inspired by the original Ghosts ‘n Goblins and its sequel, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts.

To progress through Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection, Arthur must chart his path through a series of stages in each zone of the Demon Realm. In his quest to rescue the princess and restore peace to the land, Arthur must face off against monstrous foes like Skeleton Murderer and Red Arremer, along with deadly bosses including Cyclops, Cerberus and Arthur’s longtime nemesis, the demon king Astaroth.

Some of the key features of the reboot are:

Eight different weapons to master, from a lance to new additions such as a hammer and a spiked ball.
You can learn and upgrade a variety of spells and skills from the mystical Umbral Tree.
Two-player local co-op is brought to this game, for the first time in the series.
Three difficulty modes – Squire, Knight and Legend.
A new “Page” mode which allows newcomers to spawn on the spot they died at with unlimited lives.
Veterans of the series will find themselves in familiar and also new territories such as the “Graveyard” and “Caverns of the Occult”
The game is not over when you defeat the final boss. Your second playthrough will have transformed stages and new challenges. Good luck!

You can watch the launch trailer below to check out the game in action. Couch Co-op looks like it could be quite fun, and I love the graphics on this trailer. They look modern yet pay homage to the original games in the series.
