Castle Crashers studios announces brand new game, BEHEMOTH

Publisher and developer, The Behemoth, celebrates their studio’s 21st anniversary with a brand new game set to release on Halloween.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s BEHEMOTH

Players who are fans of titles such as Castle Crashers, Battleblock Theatre, and Alien Hominid will be excited to know a new game from the studio is coming out soon. BEHEMOTH is a single-player “dodge and flap” arcade game where players must flap through the sky, rescue all the baby chicks, and dodge obstacles all whilst collecting candy to increase their scores. Players will be able to unlock over 175 cosmetic items to fully customize their feathery character, as well as compete against other players for the top spot in the daily leader boards.

After twenty-one years of making games with their iconic chicken mascot, the studio decided it was finally time to celebrate chickens, surviving twenty-one years of game development, and the loyal fanbase that has made it all possible through their continued support.

“Our fat chicken has been a cornerstone of the company since the beginning,” explains John Baez, co-founder of The Behemoth. “In 2003, it starred in a little minigame on our first website. Visitors were prompted to lift The Behemoth chicken out of its nest and gently manoeuvre it to one of the roosts on the other side of the screen. If you didn’t succeed, the chicken would scream as it fell off the bottom of the screen. Luckily it would reappear back in the nest, ready for another try! Now, twenty one years later we are happy to make the iconic chicken the star of its own arcade game! Save some baby chicks! Save the world! Have some fun!”
