Hot Wheels Unleashed Monster Trucks Expansion

Arcade racing revelation Hot Wheels Unleashed is set to get its first major update in April with the announcement of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Expansion.

Hot Wheels Unleashed took many by surprise when it launched in September 2021 (read our review here). Some 5 months on from release, developer Milestone and property owner Mattel have announced that on April 21st 2022 this popular title will be expanded upon with its first post-launch expansion DLC – Hot Wheels Monster Trucks.

Under the Hood

Included in the package is:

5 new vehicles
a themed track builder module
Basement/Player Profile themed customisation items
new environment – “Stop Motion Studio”

The brand new “Stop Motion Studio” environment allows players to race across 4 dioramas – the Jungle, the Quarry, the Desert and the Ice Mountain. Players can also create their own custom tracks here to test the might of these Monsters. The Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Expansion will be included in the Vol.2 season pass and will also be available independently.

Launching Feb 17th the Vol.2 pass includes 9 vehicles, 3 themed customisation packs and 3 track builder modules.

Additionally, Hot Wheels Unleashed: Ultimate Stunt Edition, which collects the base game alongside Vol.1 & Vol.2 season passes, was announced as a digital-only release. No prices have been announced yet for all of the new content and collections.
