GIANTS Software has announced Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition. That’s right, Farming Simulator is going retro. Playable on Mega Drive and Genesis compatible consoles this limited edition is thanks to a collaboration with Strictly Limited.

Farming Simulator included a retro cartridge-style version within their recent Farming Simulator 25 The Collector’s Edition. This little cartridge proved so popular it sparked an idea, which in turn lead to this dedicated 16-bit release.

Limited or Deluxe? You Decide

Retro fans, the exciting news doesn’t stop there though. Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition will have two exclusive versions the Strictly Limited Store. The (not so) standard Limited Edition will launch on 14th May for £44.66. Whilst a Deluxe Edition will be available from July 2025 retailing at £62.52.

Each Strictly Limited edition will include an exclusive green cartridge. What makes this so limited edition? Well only 1,000 units worldwide have been produced! This green cartridge is unique to the Strictly Limited Store and will not be available elsewhere. Collectors you’ll need to harvest the fields for this one. The Deluxe Edition will also include all the additional collectible content in the infographic below.

Availability

For those looking to pick up the Farming Simulator 16-Bit Edition there are a couple of retail options for you. However the general retail versions will be different to the Strictly Limited editions mentioned above.
In addition to the Strictly Limited store exclusive editions, a black cartridge edition will be available from select retail partners such as Amazon for the global market and VideoGamesPlus in North America. While the content of the game remains the same, the cartridge colour and packaging will be different.
