TX3 Core 360 Gaming Chair Review

Firstly, that image above is not the TC HQ; we wish we operated from a lavish room like that. One of cleanliness and comfort, not one of chaos and creativity. Now, don’t get me wrong, we have the grey chair and have been parking our butts on it for a few weeks now. So, it’s time for us to bring you our verdict on the TX3 Core 360 chair. Hold on to your armrests; this is a good one.

Comfort above Charm

Don’t get fooled by the above quip; the TX3 Core 360 is a gorgeous-looking chair, or at least I think so. It is, however, a bit bulky, but with that bulk you get a lot, and I mean a lot of life-improving features. Let’s dive into the finer details.

Design Features

Being available in a whole host of materials and colours, we were provided with the Loft variant in the light grey colourway. The build process as with the majority of gaming chairs these days is relatively straightforward. I think for the most part I managed to put it together on my own, with only a few steps needing an extra pair of hands. Once it was put together, it was time for the testing to begin.

Gratuitous Action Shot

Maybe the biggest new feature I experienced through the testing of the TX3 Core 360 was the sliding lumbar support. It self-adjusts depending on your posture, and whilst it took a lot of getting used to when I first started using the chair, it is now incredibly comfortable. To the point where a normal chair takes a little getting used to. It’s a very neat system, and hopefully it stands the test of time with all the moving around I do throughout the day.

The TX3 Core 360 comes with some innovative 5D armrests. Allowing you to adjust up and down, front and back, tilt angle as well as being able to rotate through the full 360 degrees. You can get them into the perfect position for whatever you are doing. I found that angling them upwards and turning them inwards gave me a great position if I wanted some reflection time, or if I was playing a mobile game.

The style on this chair is great!

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes

One of my favourite elements of the TX3 chairs is the Synchronous tilt that a lot of them come with. This basically means that everything moves together if you lean back. Your whole body moves together at the perfect ratio.

With a SYNC 5 system, you have greater adjustability featuring 5 different ways to find the perfect position for your body. It does mean getting used to which level does what. Whether you twist or pull, it can sometimes turn into a game of Bop-It, but when you find the perfect position, you are greeted by a superbly comfortable chair. With silent bearing casters, you can zip around in near silence. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few creaks with the chair, but as I’m a bigger guy, I often find that’s the case. However, once on the chair, I really don’t want to move.

Close up, you can smell the comfort

Final Thoughts

With all of that in mind, should you drop the £299.99 for the TX3 Core 360? Honestly, if you are in the market for a new chair, I’d highly recommend getting one of these. They are comfortable, really well-tested, and well-engineered. From a company that maybe not a lot of people are aware of, but are steadily going towards one of my favourites; now if they start to do headsets and keyboards, then I might be in financial ruin.

The TX3 Core 360 chair receives the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
