Nintendo Switch users that were looking forward to playing the Dark Souls: Remastered game on their console next month will now have to wait until later on into the Summer. Dark Souls: Remastered by FromSoftware got an announcement from Publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and also the official Twitter account stating that the title will now not be arriving on the Nintendo Switch for the 25th of May 2018.

Dark Souls originally released back in 2011 and is played from a third-person perspective as they wander through a continuous open-world environment, facing battles, and bosses, as well as being well known for it’s difficulty and unforgiving nature.

Instead, the action packed RPG remaster for the Nintendo Switch will now be launching later this Summer. However PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions are still due to launch on the 25th of May 2018 as planned. No specific reason has been stated for the delay, but there’s a chance that it’s down to issues with Nintendo Switch development and possibly related to the Solaire of Astora amiibo  as that is also being pushed back into Summer as well.
